Frontier has announced the release of Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch on November 3, 2020, the studio's first title for the handheld console. The simulation game allows you to build and run your very own Jurassic Park and is based on the Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment's blockbuster franchise. Soon, you'll be able to take your dinosaurs anywhere with the Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition, which incorporates not just the original game but also every DLC pack released since launch.

There are three major narrative-based expansions; Return To Jurassic Park, Claire's Sanctuary, and Secrets of Dr. Wu, as well as four dinosaur packs. Also included in the Complete Edition is the base game itself and the Raptor Squad Skin Collection.

If you've ever thought that you could do a better job of being a dinosaur supervisor then now is your chance to prove it. You'll take control of operations in this simulation title that sees you build attractions, secure the containment facilities, and bioengineer your very own dinosaurs. Along the way, you'll be guided by some major franchise favorites including Dr. Ian Malcolm, Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Claire Dearing, and Dr. Henry Wu.

TheGamer was given a chance to speak with Rich Newbold the Game Director and he gave us a brief insight into the process of working with a new platform. "The technical challenge was the big thing... but it was one of those challenges which we loved on the dev team." Newbold said, "We also wanted it to still have that high standard, these are the best dinosaurs you're going to see."

This fact is evident when you realize that the trailer above was all captured from the Switch, along with some gameplay footage we saw and can confirm was of the same high quality. Newbold also explained how the team uses the T-Rex to test things and told us that after the graphical rebuild was complete, seeing the dinosaur emerge from the creation lab for the very first time was "a great moment."

As he speaks about the franchise there was a sense of awe as Newbold talked about his "fondness for Jurassic Park," something that the game includes with the Return To Jurassic Park DLC, which allows you to change all the items to fit the style of the original franchise, rather than the reboot. Also, in case you were wondering, Newbold's favorite dinosaur is the Triceratops.

Jurassic World Evolution is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The upcoming Nintendo Switch edition will be released on November 3, 2020, and is currently available to pre-order in the Nintendo eShop.
