Kai Cenat is a rising star on Twitch. Since the start of his streaming career in January 2021, his channel has grown to over 3.4 million followers and he averages over 63,000 viewers per stream (according to Twitch Tracker). Cenat’s fame has gotten to the point where he’s out-pacing the likes of longtime content creators like xQc, and it’s apparently been enough for the likes of Epic Games to take note.

According to Kai himself (via The Loadout), Epic reached out to offer him an official Fortnite tournament. "Fortnite is allowing us to run our own tournament when they came to me and said, 'yo, you want this tournament together?’ All right, cool, fire," replied Cenat, stating that the tournament is "gonna be fire though, it's gonna be fire."

Details of the tournament remain unknown as Kai isn’t sure how much he’s allowed to disclose. However, he did confirm there will be a prize pool, and Fortnite has a history of offering around $100,000 to tournament winners. It remains to be seen whether Kai will receive a more extensive Fortnite tie-in the likes of which streamers as large as MrBeast have enjoyed.

While we wait for Kai Cenat's Fortnite Mafia Showdown to begin, Fortnite players can take part in the new My Hero Academia crossover event, although that's recently run into a problem. Deku has been added to Fortnite, and much like Goku's Kamehameha move, Deku received his signature "Deku Smash" attack, a flashy punch that can take out multiple opponents at once. However, the move was recently disabled due to "an issue." Players believe that issue to be an increased risk of seizures for those living with epilepsy as reports surfaced over the weekend.

A less hurtful glitch is also available that lets Fortnite players rack up to 80,000 XP. Play Team Rumble or use the Aerial Augment to activate the glitch and gain free XP before Epic patches it out.
