Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is here and Kane has returned with a special message for his faithful followers.
EA has returned to Steam, and with it comes the brand new remastering of both Commander & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert, as well as all their associated expansion packs. The games now display in gorgeous 4K graphics, feature a modernized UI, additional cutscenes, and even a map editor to make your own multiplayer maps.
It also comes with a special message from Kane, the mysterious leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, broadcasting from an undisclosed location that looks suspiciously like his bedroom (coronavirus is still a thing, after all).
"Greetings. It is I: Kane,” says Joe Kucan, Kane’s real-life actor since C&C was a series that had always used actual recorded video for its cutscenes. "Your kind words, your faith, your devotion, have not gone unnoticed."
Kane then goes on to quote a few Twitter followers who have been eagerly awaiting the return of Command & Conquer to PC, even though Twitter wasn’t a thing until long after these games had both had their times in the sun.
