Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is coming to Nintendo Switch on March 16, according to a statement from THQ Nordic. The game comes with three DLC packs and marks the first time Kingdoms of Amalur will be available on a mobile platform.

The Teeth of Naros, Legend of Dead Kel, and Weapons and Armor bundles are the three expansions available on Switch. THQ Nordic also confirmed the world of Amalur will continue to grow in 2021, as the Fatesworn expansion is planned to release by year's end.

"From the minds of the bestselling author R.A. Salvatore, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston, comes Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning," reads the announcement. " Rescue a world torn apart by a vicious war and control the keys to immortality as the first warrior ever to be resurrected from the grips of death."

There's no mention of any performance or graphical adjustments required to bring the sprawling RPG to Switch, although the reveal trailer shows off a surprisingly good-looking game. If you've already worked your way through Skryim and The Witcher 3, this might be the next big world to sink your teeth into.

While not perfect, Kingdoms of Amalur boasts hundreds of hours of content for fans to explore. First launched in 2012, the game saw new life in 2020 when it was re-released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One by THQ Nordic. The Switch was left out in the cold – likely due to its underpowered hardware – but is finally joining in on the adventure. You're free to build your character however you see fit, turning them into a powerful warrior, agile ranger, or sneaky assassin – it's not as flexible as Skyrim, but there's still a lot to love about the quirky RPG.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be available for Nintendo Switch on March 16. A price is yet to be determined, although it'll likely retail for $39.99 – the same price as PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
