Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards was recently introduced as a part of the N64 NSO Expansion Pack. As with many retro games, this one too had some obscenely hard sections that you just couldn't get past. A number of players found that they were getting stuck in the game's water levels especially. However, it turns out that the game isn't tougher than they remember, but it's actually a bug.A number of players reported that if Kirby took damage from certain sources in the water levels, he'd get stun-locked, preventing players from being able to do anything else. The only way to resume was to restart the game entirely, losing any progress made up till that point. Nintendo has finally addressed the bug and has said that a fix will be released soon.RELATED: Kirby Is Too Stretchy Now And It Scares Me"A bug has been found in #Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards for Nintendo 64 - Nintendo Switch Online that can prevent players from progressing under a certain condition," said a Tweet by the Nintendo of America handle. "A patch will be released early next week to fix this. We apologize for the inconvenience."

A number of N64 emulated games have been facing issues since being released on NSO. While those have primarily been related to things like input lag, this game-breaking bug for Kirby 64 is the biggest issue so far. Back when the game got rated for its re-release, fans of the series found it quite funny that Kirby and the Crystal Shards was given a "T for Teen" rating due to Blood and Violence.

While you wait for that patch, you can check out the pink puffball's most recent adventure in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. In his review for the game, our News Lead George Foster said "Unless you’re aiming to find every Waddle Dee and complete every secret objective, Kirby and the Forgotten Land won’t challenge you, but it sure as hell will keep you smiling. Most of all, it proves that Kirby works remarkably well in 3D and cements itself as the next big thing for the pink puffball. I don’t want to see him limited to just moving left and right ever again."
