One of the staples of the Kirby series is the roster of Copy Abilities that the pink puffball steals from enemies and uses for himself. This is no different in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, although the mechanic has seen a bit of an upgrade this time around thanks to Blueprint Upgrades.
Blueprint Upgrades are blueprints that can be found throughout some of the Forgotten Land's levels as rewards for going off the beaten path or defeating bosses. Collecting them will allow the blacksmith in Waddle Dee Town to upgrade Kirby's Copy Abilities to modify how they work and make them more powerful.
Most Copy Abilities have two Blueprint Upgrades, meaning that there are usually three variants on the one ability. You can then choose which to have appear in levels once you've unlocked it. The first upgrade usually costs 300 coins and two Rare Stones, while the second will take 500 coins and three Rare stones.
