Nintendo has already shown off what Kirby will look like in Smash when he inhales Sora, including a neat detail regarding the Kingdom Hearts' character's keyblade.

Sora has officially been added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and with that, the largest roster in the series' history is now complete. Smash director Masahiro Sakurai revealed Sora this week and openly discussed how hard it was to make the Kingdom Hearts star a part of the game. Odds are a pretty intricate deal will have been struck with Disney to make it happen.

As is the case with any and every fighter added to Smash, Nintendo would have had to figure out what all this means for Kirby. Kirby can inhale his opponents and adopt their powers, as well as part of their appearance. Nintendo has already revealed what Kirby will look like when he sucks up Sora, as well as hinting at which parts of Sora's arsenal he will and will not be able to utilize.

The star of Sora's move set is, of course, his keyblade. However, when Kirby hoovers up Sora, the keyblade doesn't come too. At least not in the physical form it takes when Sora has it. That's because, in the Kingdom Hearts universe, you must be deemed worthy to become a keyblade wielder.

In place of Sora's keyblade, Kirby appears to use magic to form a replacement so that he can still access all of Sora's move set. It's still a pretty neat detail though, and one Kingdom Hearts fans have been dissecting in the hours since Sora was revealed as the final fighter. One question raised is why Kirby isn't worthy, but Mario is. That debate hinges on whether you think the plumber actually wielded the keyblade or not when he freed Sora from the flames.

There will probably a number of minor details about Sora in Smash that are yet to be revealed. One other that Kingdom Hearts players noticed immediately was a tweak to Dive to the Heart, one of the stage transitions Sora brings with him to the game. The stained glass window in the background is supposed to include images of Goofy and Donald Duck. In Smash Ultimate, their likenesses have been replaced.
