The popular character Kiriko can apparently go out of bounds in the new Overwatch 2 map, something which frequently gives glitchy showdowns. The map in question was added to the game earlier this week after the highly anticipated launch of Season 2.

The new Overwatch 2 map added with Season 2 allows the Hero Sombra to use her Translocator to go beyond the boundaries of the game world, but now it appears that Kiriko can use her Swift Step ability to teleport on over to an out of bounds Sombra, joining the character in the glitch. Someone going by the name of Toastie55 caught all of this on camera, posting about the matter on TikTok.

Fans of the franchise have been posting "see you in two weeks, Sombra" to Twitter and other social media platforms this month, a reference to how long developer Blizzard normally takes to fix character bugs. The whole matter is a testament to how many players want the hero removed from the roster on account of her many notable glitches.

The addition of a new map in the Season 2 update seems to have actually made matters worse for Somba. The character was previously able to glitch into the payload, but can apparently now teleport below the surface of the game world, making her way into the spawn site of the opposing team, launching an ambush. The issue has been turning up on platforms like YouTube for several weeks.

Overwatch 2 has been a subject of controversy within the competitive gaming community ever since launch, attracting a substantial amount of ire over balancing problems and of course the questionable implementation of downloadable content. The fairly frequent discovery of new bugs and glitches only adds to the growing list of complaints, at least in so far as many players are concerned.
