Update 16:40 BST 07/10/22: After that initial tweet, CopperKat followed up by saying she'd just forgotten a question mark, following it up by tweeting "#deathstranding?". She said, "Guys, I'd love to share your excitement but it was a long day and I simply failed to put a question mark at the end of a tag".

A producer at Kojima Productions might have just accidentally let slip that the project that Kojima has been teasing over the past few weeks with a series of posters is somehow related to Death Stranding, and might even be the rumoured sequel.

Over the past few weeks, Hideo Kojima has been sharing cryptic tweets of shadowy posters with the phrase "Where Am I?" and "Who Am I?" to help tease his next project. Although it seemed like it could be teasing the game he's working on with Xbox, rumoured to be titled Overdose, a slip-up from a Kojima Productions producer might have revealed what it's actually all about.

As spotted by Gematsu, a Kojima Productions producer, known as CopperKat on Twitter, retweeted Kojima's latest set of teaser posters for his next project and accidentally included a hashtag for Death Stranding. CopperKat said, "So many questions! Who's excited to see what comes next? #DeathStranding #WhereAmI". The tweet has unsurprisingly been deleted, only furthering the idea that it was a slip-up.

Although it could just be a mistake on the producer's part, it does seem to indicate that the game that's being teased here is related to Death Stranding and not Overdose, which was the general assumption based on the past few teasers. The second poster seems to be teasing Margaret Qualley for the project, who appeared in the first Death Stranding as Mama, which only cements the idea that it could be a sequel.

Also supporting the idea that this is a Death Stranding sequel is the logo that's shown at the bottom of the poster, which heavily resembles the Bridges logo featured in the first game. The question of "Where am I?" also supports this as, not only does it tie-in with Death Stranding's central theme of rebuilding America, but it has also been rumoured that the sequel would feature another planet as a sketch from Kojima showed what looked like a spaceship with the Bridges logo.

It would come as no surprise if the project did end up being Death Stranding 2, as it's one of the worst-kept secrets in the gaming industry. Not only has it been reported on by insiders several times now, but Norman Reedus, who plays Sam Porter Bridges, has mentioned that it's in development several times now, with Kojima even responding to the most recent instance.
