The scariest thing about Silent Hill, to casual gamers, is that Hideo Kojima never got his mitts on it. Whether or not the divisive auteur would've actually made a good one of those remains to be seen, but it's fair to say it would've been an interesting experiment at the very least. But Konami put the kibosh on Kojima's ambitious project, before silencing Silent Hill for...  uh, well, seemingly forever.

But that won't stop the intrepid game developer and aspiring filmmaker. No, he still wants in to the world of the macabre, as he recently indicated in an interview celebrating his BAFTA award.

"I would like to make another horror game someday," Kojima indicated. "Something that uses a revolutionary method to create terror, that doesn’t just make you pee your pants, but crap them."

Uh, gross? But while Kojima may be, in the words of Sisqo, "some kind of fecal freak," we're curious just what the eclectic and snappily-dressed lad has in store for us. Fortunately, it seems like we might see something of it sooner rather than later, as he stated that he already has some ideas in mind.

Before you get your hopes up, though, keep in mind that it's definitely not Silent Hills. Konami stated recently that early reports of a revival were patently false, taking a lead pipe to our hopes and dreams... er, nightmares. But whatever Kojima cooks up, we'll absolutely be down for it. Will it be a weird mess? Of course! But that's what makes Kojima productions so fascinating, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Now, Konami... can you please do something with Silent Hill? Anything?

Actually, we're good!
