Leaked images of an alleged new Silent Hill game appeared online and Konami has responded by taking them down.

Yesterday, Twitter user AestheticGamer - previously known as Dusk Golem, a prominent Resident Evil leaker - shared four leaked images on their Twitter account that seemed to show a brand new Silent Hill game. Alongside the images, AestheticGamer said, "There’s a lot I’m not sharing for now. This is from a relatively new source for me, but I have been given more than enough proof to believe them. I also will mention the names ‘Anita & Maya’, ‘SMS Messages’, and this is not the only Silent Hill game in development."

They continued, "The shots are a bit dated, from 2020, so maybe this project looks a bit different now. But [this is] what I’m choosing to share. I know many will doubt this, but I have a lot of private proof to show this is real, and as always I continue to wait on the Silent Hill game reveal.”

One of the images shows a room in a house that has peeling walls and is filled with rubbish bags. Some have rightly pointed out that it looks similar to Resident Evil 7. The next image shows a figure standing in a red corridor that is made up of post-it notes with messages like "fat bitch" on them.

Another image shows a character whose face is peeling with what looks like notes from a notebook, which seems to relate to the use of notes in the previous image. Some of the messages shown on her face include "minger" and "I hate myself". The use of 'minger' implies some kind of British influence, backed up by another one of the images which references Monty Python, a film steeped in British culture. The final image shows an in-game note in Japanese, which apparently talks about a child being taken into custody.

Since sharing the images, AestheticGamer has briefly had their account shut down due to copyright notices and the images have been taken down by Konami. It's not clear if the project is still in development, but it certainly looks real and many fans are assuming that it's the Bloober Team Silent Hill game that has been rumoured over the past year.
