Carth Onasi admirers rejoice as a new mod for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has made it so male player characters can romance him rather than just female player characters as originally intended.

This is thanks to modder Leilukin who has uploaded their creation to Nexus Mods for Carth fans to download. His romance subplot was originally locked off from male player characters, but this mod modifies the gender checks so that everybody can get a bit of Carth. Leilukin has even uploaded two versions of the mod, one that makes Carth strictly gay so that he won't flirt with any female player characters, and another that makes him bisexual.

You do still need to put the effort in though, as Leilukin explains in the description of their mod that you'll still need to talk to Carth often, pick the right dialogue options, and progress in his personal quest line in order to woo him. If you decide that Carth isn't your cup of tea, there are also dialogue options that will let you kill the romance then and there.

Leilukin has even uploaded a short demonstration to their YouTube channel which you can find embedded above. If you need a wingman, we've got a handy guide on how to romance Carth along with your two other romanceable party members.

Unfortunately, Carth will probably be his regular heterosexual self in the Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic remake which is currently in development, but when it will actually launch is another matter entirely. The game was allegedly delayed indefinitely following the dismissal of two senior developers, and reports of troubled development over at Aspyr Media have thrown the current status of the game into question.

That hasn't stopped one set of dedicated fans from attempting to remake the game themselves though, albeit as an animated series powered by Unreal Engine 5. The series will be split into three seasons comprised of ten episodes each, with the first episode available to watch now.
