Kowloon Nights, a video game fund dedicated to independent developers, has announced new partnerships with indie studios to fund 23 new games. Kowloon is known for offering developers a flexible payment schedule, full creative control, developer branding and ownership of IP and sequel rights.

The funded projects include new titles from Paradise Killer developer Kaizen Game Works; Star Renegades developer Massive Damage; Oxenfree and Afterparty studio Night School; OlliOlli developer Roll7; Absolver developer Sloclap; and Spiritfarer developer Thunder Lotus.

Kowloon Nights is currently supporting Rose City Games/Picogram's Garden Story; Studio Zevere’s She Dreams Elsewhere; and Sabotage Studio's Sea of Stars, which is set in the same universe as The Messenger.

"We feel Kowloon is uniquely positioned to help developers pursue their visions while building sustainable studios," said Lindsay Rostal, a partner at Kowloon Nights. “We are incredibly proud to work with such talented studios and developers whose innovative work previously has brought to the community games ranging from OlliOlli to Paradise Killer to Absolver to Spiritfarer to Oxenfree and more.”

In 2018, Kowloon Nights announced its first investment fund for new games with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $5 million. The games included a new title from The Last Guardian creator Fumito Ueda. In 2019, the fund revealed 10 more projects, several of which were released last year.
