With most fans of The Last of Us Part II finishing up the game, some are saying that they want more in terms of closure to wrap up the story in a more meaningful way. As it turns out, there aren't any plans for additional content, and fans shouldn't be expecting any kind of DLC for The Last of Us Part II.

While speaking on a spoilercast that is part of a YouTube channel called Kinda Funny Games, Naughty Dog VP Neil Druckmann said that there are currently "no plans" for any extra TLOU2 DLC. The spoilercast's host mentioned the previous The Last of Us: Left Behind expansion for the first game in attempt to coerce something out of the developer, but to no avail. Although Druckmann acknowledged that there was indeed an expansion pass for the first game, he further confirmed that The Last of Us Part II won't have a similar expansion.

The news comes as a disappointment to those who were hoping for more story-related content. Considering how there are a number of fans speaking out against the game, including streamers like Tyler1 and AngryJoe, having additional DLC to offer more insight about the characters and plot would prove beneficial. Surely enough, many people still have questions about the game even after finishing it – something that a DLC would be able to provide. However, with no plans of any kind in sight, all of those questions and thirst for knowledge will continue to remain unanswered for the time being.

The Last of Us Part II is still a fairly new game. As more people are able to play it in the future and the demand for DLC potentially increases, perhaps Naughty Dog will reconsider its decision and end up creating some sort of an expansion for the game. For now however, the community has its answer – but fans should try to remain optimistic just in case the studio's decision can be changed later down the road. Even if the answer will still be "no" in the future, there is still hope for a potential third installment.
