League of Legends is a game where players enjoy facing off in 1v1 situations to show off the full range of their skill expression. Sometimes you could be stomping your opposition about to score another kill when out of the brush pops the enemy jungler and then you die to a vicious 2v1. Then, you proceed to die three more times in the next few minutes because you get camped, and demand in all-caps that the enemy jungler put up a tent and tell you some campfire stories since you went from 3/0 to 3/4.

Always remember that League is a team game, so let’s see which junglers can really make a difference.

10 Fiddlesticks – There’s Something In The Field

Star Nemesis Fiddlesticks tormenting Star Guardian Akali, its colors the only ones against the black and white chess

Occasionally found in the support position, Fiddlesticks’ true domain is the jungle, as it is a ripe playground for its jumpscare tactics. The Ancient Fear can erect effigies that perform various actions when encountered by enemies, potentially fooling them into believing they encountered the real thing and flashing away in fright. Fiddlesticks’ true horror as a jungler shows when it is able to land its Crowstorm ultimate from the shadows and fear those caught in the murder of crows.

Not just A Harmless Scarecrow, Fiddle can Terrify and Reap its opponents for a Bountiful Harvest.

9 Sejuani – Trust Nothing But Your Strength

The Fury of the North can be quite a formidable tank to watch out for in the jungle as she is immune to slows and cripples. With her trusty Drüvask war-hog, Bristle, beneath her, Sejuani dashes into battle with Arctic Assault and knocks enemies up. When she wishes to make those beneath her feel Winter’s Wrath, she lashes them with her flail and slows them.

When enemies have enough Frost stacks on them, she can stun them with her Permafrost. Her devastating Glacial Prison can be used for both engage and disengage as it stuns the first enemy hit and creates a slowing frost storm around them.

8 Jarvan IV – Demacia: Now And Forever

The Exemplar of Demacia, also referred to as J4, can be a great engage jungler and do terrifying damage when built with Lethality items. His Demacian Standard flag, coupled with his Dragon Strike, knocks up nearby enemies around him in the path of his dash. His Golden Aegis slows nearby enemies and shields him, to boot.

The most devastating spell in J4’s kit, however, is his ultimate, Cataclysm. He leaps to a target location with displacement immunity and deals damage while erecting a ring of terrain that is impassible by normal means.

7 Volibear – Feel The Power Of The Wild

Thousand Pierced Volibear standing above several puny humans that were foolish enough to summon him, his eyes aglow

The Relentless Storm is one of the several sibling gods of the Freljord and another fearsome foe to face in the jungle. His Thundering Smash gives him bonus movement speed and makes him pounce on his target, stunning them long enough for his massive claws to tear into them in a Frenzied Maul. When he wishes to slow his enemies and give himself a shield in the process, he can use his Sky Splitter spell to summon a bolt of lightning.

When the maelstrom seeks to consume you, Volibear becomes the Stormbringer in his ultimate, growing larger and leaping to an area to slow enemies and even disable turrets for a few seconds.

6 Warwick – The Chains Are Broken… The Beast Is Free

Every day you should watch out for The Uncaged Wrath of Zaun, as he doesn’t just come out on nights when the moon is full. The beast has an insatiable Eternal Hunger that heals him when he is below half-health. With Jaws of the Beast, Warwick can either lunge at or simply bite a target and heal himself from the flesh he rips off.

Blood Hunt allows Warwick to smell wounded champions below half-health and reveals a blood trail to their location, which he can follow, gaining bonus movement speed. His Primal Howl strikes fear into the hearts of those too close to him and slows them while he takes reduced damage. His ultimate, Infinite Duress, has him leap to a target in an unstoppable motion and suppress them as he claws at them and heals for the damage dealt.

5 Bel’Veth – All That Will Remain Is A Sea Of Lavender

The Empress of the Void in her full, monstrous beauty in her champion teaser, her eyes aglow and brandishing her teeth

The Empress of the Void will consume all with her lavender sea. Her Death in Lavender passive allows her to infinitely stack attack speed, so when she makes it to the late game, her auto attacks look like a Jo-Jo reference. Her Void Surge allows her to dash in the designated direction, making for some quick movement you’ll have to keep up with.

When hit with her tail in her Above and Below spell, enemies are knocked up and slowed. When caught in the Royal Maelstrom, Bel’Veth rapidly slashes at nearby targets with the lowest health and heals herself. Upon killing a champion, a Void Coral forms that the empress can dash to and consume to take on her true form in her ultimate, Endless Banquet.

Those caught in the radius of her feast are slowed as she is healed.

4 Vi – They’ll Never Know What Hit ‘Em

When it comes to the woman that will punch first and ask questions while punching, Vi is a one-girl-wrecking-crew not to be trifled with, unless you’re her cupcake, Caitlyn. Vi’s Vault Breaker spell has her charge up a big punch and then dash in a direction to knock someone up by their face. Not to be confused with her passive, Blast Shield, her passive spell, Denting Blows, allows her abilities to reduce the armor of her foes, so they take increased damage from her attacks.

Relentless Force can critically strike and blast her enemies to smithereens. Her ultimate, Cease and Desist, has The Piltover Enforcer target a single enemy and dash towards them, knocking them up and knocking aside anyone in her path. Say goodnight, squishies!

3 Lee Sin – Force Is Meaningless Without Skill

Nightbringer Lee Sin with his palm firmly planted in the ground, the earth alight with fiery light and cracks beneath

Sometimes affectionately referred to as Lee Skills, this monk doesn’t need his eyesight to give someone a thrashing. His Sonic Wave gives him a good bit of mobility and creates an opening to go in when it connects with an enemy, allowing him to recast the ability as Resonating Strike and close the gap. When assisting his teammates, Lee Sin can cast his Safeguard spell, giving both him and his ally a shield.

Lee Sin can also recast Safeguard as Iron Will, giving him spell vamp for a short time. When he really wants to make an impression, Lee Sin hits the ground with his Tempest spell, damaging enemies nearby. When he recasts the spell as Cripple, enemies around him are slowed.

Lastly, when Lee Sin wants to separate an enemy from their team or send massive tanks careening into their team and knock everyone hit in the process up, he uses his ultimate, Dragon’s Rage, to get the job done.

2 Zac – He’s Not As Squishy As He Looks

Special Weapons Zac striking an action pose as he grins evily at us, his red eyes glowing as his little blobs surround him

The Secret Weapon’s best engage and disengage tool is his Elastic Slingshot. He travels farther the longer he charges the ability, damaging, stunning, and knocking up enemies caught in his landing. This ability also allows him to get some stylish Baron and Dragon steals.

As he is Unstable Matter he can explode to deal damage near him. Zac’s Stretching Strike damages and slows enemies caught by his arms, subsequently getting stunned and knocked up as he smashes them into each other while they remain tethered to him. His Ultimate, Let’s Bounce! Makes him bounce three times, knocking enemies back and slowing them.

Occasionally when mortally wounded, Zac’s passive, Cell Division can save him as little blobs hurry to become his body.

1 Viego – Love Ruins All

To cure the dying love within his chest and resurrect his love, the powerful Ruined King will stop at nothing. His passive, Sovereign’s Domination, allows him to possess the spirit of a champion he scored a takedown on and use their abilities against their teammates, also becoming untargetable while he possesses a spirit. His Blade of the Ruined King stabs targets, while his Spectral Maw can stun them.

His Harrowed Path gives him bonus movement speed and camouflages him while he runs within it. His ultimate, Heartbreaker, makes him blink to a target location and slow enemies near him for a moment. He can recast his ultimate after he possesses a spirit, able to leave a chain of heartbreaks in his wake.
