With League of Legend's 11th season approaching rapidly, here are some champions that will assist in climbing through the lower ranks faster than Rammus with Deadman's Plate and Powerball active. As of patch 10.24, according to data listed on OP.GG, the rank distribution among the lowest divisions in League of Legends are as follows: Iron tier consists to 5% of players, Bronze tier consists of 22% of players, and Silver tier consists of 34% of players. These statistics conclude that 60% of the ranked playerbase makes up the 3 lowest divisions worldwide.

Lower division players are more likely to pick mechanically intensive champions, contributing to a lower overall win rate. While it is impossible to win every game of League of Legends (especially if you're not taking things seriously, as with some hilarious League of Legends streamers), there are some champions what will better the odds. Keep in mind that all statistical data discussed has been taken from U.GG and is subject to daily changes!

Brand

Brand Imposing Casting Fire Spell

Sitting at an overall win rate of 54% with a ban rate of about 19% in the lowest 3 tiers, Brand utilizes his kit comprised of flame abilities to scorch anyone in his path. Brand provides immense lane presence, due to his level 2 all-in potential and his ridiculous late-game scaling. This potential is amplified tenfold when he is paired with champions like Jhin (who can follow up his poke with ease) and Draven (who is always looking for an all-in).

Picking Brand does, however, come with some caveats. Early game, he relies on maintaining a healthy mana pool and hitting crucial skill shots. However, once he reaches his item spikes --looking at you Liandry's Anguish-- he is a terror to deal with.

Swain

Swain Looking Imposing Holding Up Hand While Ravens Flock Behind Him

Swain is the textbook example of a support carry. In the lowest 3 tiers, he has a win rate of around 55% with an overall ban rate of  15%.  He utilizes a sustain damage kit that provides simultaneous burst damage. He is a threat throughout most stages of the match, but especially in the early game, when he utilizes a long-range snare that pulls enemies closer to him to initiate some heavily favored all-ins.

Before picking Swain, it is critical to avoid picking him into champions that hold him down, such as Zilean and Nami. If Swain is left unchecked and bad matchups are avoided, it is extremely likely that he will out-damage both the enemy support and bot lane champions whilst becoming an unstoppable juggernaut.

Jhin

Jhin Holding Weapon Looking To Cracked Mirror

The fast-moving, bullet-bouncing, sniper-esque virtuoso boasts a win rate of 53% and is banned in about 19% of low division ranked games. Jhin is the poster boy of playing patiently, utilizing his kit to chain crowd control with his support before following up with an onslaught of ranged abilities and attacks. Jhin is a relatively safe pick and does not require mechanical expertise to pilot well.

Jhin lacks a gap closing ability, so positioning well in lane is key. Jhin utilizes a lethality centric build which also makes him shine in the current meta considering recent nerfs to critical strike builds. Jhin is a safe pick with strong early game potential and an explosive late game.

Miss Fortune

Miss Fortune (seemingly set to be playable in Ruined King: A League of Legends story alongside other Champions) is an easy-to-pilot champion with off the charts wombo-combo potential due to her ultimate ability, Bullet Time. Miss Fortune currently has a win rate of 53% and a ban rate of about 13% in Iron, Bronze and Silver divisions. When paired with crowd control centric supports such as intriguing newer addition Seraphine (whose ultimate lines us champs perfectly for game changing Miss Fortune plays), she can really devastate opponents.

Much like Jhin, Miss Fortune also lacks gap closing abilities, making it much easier for a badly positioned player to get caught. However, a well placed and timed Miss Fortune ultimate can change the outcome of a game in these divisions.

Malzahar

Malzahar Flying Summoning Void Creatures

Malzahar is the perfect champ for dominating low division ranked games, due to his non-mechanically-intensive kit and high late-game damage. Due to having a passive ability shield, Malzahar also boasts an incredibly safe lane phase, where he primarily focuses on farming as much as possible to hit his core items, in addition to providing hard crowd control through his ultimate.

He is currently holding a win rate of 54% in the lowest divisions, with a ban rate of about 3%. He is a late-game monster, providing team compositions an area of effect silence, a suppress, and an incredible amount of damage over time. He also has favorable match ups against many of the top picks in low division games, such as Zed, Fizz, and Yasuo.

Annie

Annie With Fire Ball Summoning Tibbers

Annie is one of the most straightforward, easy-to-pilot champions in League of Legends, due to an entirely point-and-click kit and absurd burst damage. This allows lower tiered players to focus on the macro aspect of the game, as their reliance on tight mechanical play is diminished almost entirely. Annie provides great pick potential and easily exploits any lackluster positioning of squishy targets.

Annie holds a win rate of 52% (mostly due to a subpar pick rate) and a ban rate of about 2%. Due to on-demand stuns, incredible single target and area of effect damage, Annie can carry most games, alongside her trusty bear Tibbers.

Nunu & Willump

Nunu Willump Sitting Together Conjuring Ice Magic

The bombastic yeti Nunu and his mischievous partner Willump run around Summoners Rift consuming every objective on the map, before flying into lanes at mach speed delivering heat-seeking snowballs and crowd control galore. Nunu & Willump can be an extremely difficult champion to deal with, due to their ability to contest neutral objectives. Nunu & Willump also take advantage of badly positioned laners due to an obscene amount of crowd control.

Nunu & Willump have a win rate of 52% with a ban rate of about 3%. While they provide game-changing mobility and the ability to contest neutral objectives with ease, Nunu & Willump lack significant late-game damage due to their tanky build path. Luckily, taking objectives wins games and they are unmatched in that department.

Rammus

Rammus Desert Striking An Enemy

Low division players love spamming highly mechanical AD champions such as Zed and Yasuo (they are picked in about 16% of all ranked games throughout those divisions). Who better to exploit this than Rammus, the bulwark of an armadillo that hard counters attack damage champions through armor empowering abilities? Rammus possesses the ability to roll into lanes at devastating speed, oftentimes resulting in summoner spells and kills.

Rammus currently has a 55% win rate in low division games and boasts a ban rate of just under 10%. Although he lacks the ability to contest neutral objectives, Rammus renders many AD champions useless in team fights, due to a 2.25 second taunt and ludicrous tank stats.

Shen

Shen Channeling His Teleport Ability

Shen is the jack of all trades pick that can outduel most opponents in a 1v1, due to high base damage and his ability Spirit's Refuge. He also provides map presence with his ultimate, while pushing exquisitely due to his ability to show up in skirmishes at the drop of a hat. With the addition of new tank items, his power has increased tenfold.

Shen currently wins about 54% of the games he is picked in worldwide, while maintaining a ban rate of 3.2%. His global presence alongside his ability to dominate the lane phase provides Shen with some of the best tools for climbing the ranks.

Kayle

League Of Legends Kayle Pointing Sword While Flying

Kayle is essentially the Thanos of League of Legends. It doesn't matter how many times she is defeated, she will always remain inevitable.  If Kayle is allowed to hit her item and level spikes she has the capability to win a game through hybrid damage and tremendous attack speed.

Kayle is one of the strongest late-game champions in League of Legends with a win rate of 53% and a ban rate of 8%, omnipresent due to her incredible late game scaling and solo carry potential. It's no surprise that she seems to have another nerf coming her way, as reported in the version 10.25 patch notes.
