The first season of Arcane takes place in Piltover and Zuan, so we were undoubtedly going to see some champions that call these sister cities home. So far, we have seen ten League of Legends champions in Arcane. These champions range from being the main characters of the series to quick cameos.

Arcane has quickly become one of Netflix’s most-watched and highest-rated series. So naturally, Netflix has already ordered a second season of the show. It seems likely that more champions will show up in future seasons, but for now, these are the champions that have physically appeared in Arcane. A word of warning, this article contains spoilers for the first season of Arcane.

10 Vi

Vi in Arcane

Vi is one of the main characters of Arcane, and her story parallels her sister Powder (aka Jinx). The first act of the show begins with both Vi and Powder as kids. As the show continues, their paths diverge drastically. Vi was born in Zuan, orphaned at a young age, and then adopted by Vander. After Vander’s death, Vi ends up in prison for years. She is freed later by Caitlyn, who she partners up with professionally and personally. Throughout the series, Vi becomes more involved with law enforcement in Piltover alongside Caitlyn. Eventually, she earns her Hextech Gauntlets from Jayce.

9 Jinx

Jinx in Arcane

Jinx (aka Powder) is Vi’s younger sister and the adoptive daughter of Silco. As a result of her traumatic childhood with Vi, Jinx has developed some deep psychological issues. After Vi seemingly abandons her, she becomes Silco's adoptive daughter. Silco teaches her to use her rage to defeat his enemies.

That said, Jinx and Silco share a bond over being betrayed by their families. Throughout the season, Jinx must decide whether she is Jinx or Powder. She ultimately concludes that she is the latter and becomes the champion we all know.

8 Jayce

Jayce in Arcane

Jayce first appears in episode two of Arcane and remains a main character throughout the series. The series begins with Jayce’s magical crystals getting stolen by Vi and Jinx. These crystals are part of his early research into Hextech. Unfortunately, the danger imposed by his Hextech research brings him in front of the council of Piltover. As the series continues, we see Jayce develop into a great scientist, leader, and potentially even a warrior.

7 Heimerdinger

Heimerdinger in Arcane

Heimerdinger is a councilor of Piltover and a mentor figure to Jayce. Heimerdinger is known for great inventions and wisdom. His wisdom is likely why he is the head of the Piltover council too. Heimerdinger is initially hesitant about Hextech technology but eventually turns his opinion around.

Heimerdinger first appears in episode two to advise Jayce before Jayce’s trial. His advice goes unheeded, but Jayce respects Heimerdinger’s input more than anyone else. As the series progresses, so does Heimerdinger’s worldview.

6 Caitlyn

Caitlyn in Arcane

The iconic blue-haired Caitlyn first appears in episode two of Arcane. Caitlyn is an expert marksman and a member of the law enforcement of Piltover. She also comes from wealth, hailing from the upper-class of Piltover. As the show continues, her trust in Vi strengthens and they eventually become romantic partners. This relationship is perhaps the most impactful on the narrative in Arcane and easily one of the best elements of the show.

5 Viktor

Viktor in Arcane

Viktor looks very different than his champion form, and we learn more about his tragic origin through Arcane. Viktor helps Jayce complete his Hextech research and even saves Jayce from complete despair when the council blocks his research from continuing.

Viktor also faces a crippling disease that Hextech could potentially cure. This pursuit for his cure causes Viktor to act recklessly and act selfishly. While we do not get to see his final form in season one of Arcane, it is heavily alluded to throughout the season.

4 Singed

Singed in Arcane

Singed appears in the first episode and is performing a science experiment on unwilling participants for Silco. As we learn, he is developing a drug called Shimmer that increases the strength and violence of its users. Singed is an evil man working for an even crueler man (Silco). Singed continues to work for Silco throughout the series and even assists Viktor with his research. He has a small role in the show, but he leaves a mark on the narrative.

3 Ekko

Ekko in Arcane

Ekko shows up as a child in the first episode of Arcane. He is a childhood friend of Vi and Jinx, having grown up with them in Zuan. He even gave them the break-in tip on the penthouse in Piltover. Later in the show, he returns to help Vi and Caitlyn takedown Silco.

We get glimpses into his ability to manipulate time as well as his relationships with Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and Heimerdinger. Hopefully, we get to see more from the boy who broke time in season two.

2 Kindred

Kindred in Arcane

The kindred make a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo in episode five. When Vi and Caitlyn visit the brothel, we get a brief glimpse of the Kindred chilling on a couch. They are a mysterious pair in League of Legends lore, representing the twin aspects of death. Unfortunately, they are merely a cameo appearance and do not have any significant role in Arcane itself. Perhaps we will see them again in season two.

1 Ryze

Ryze in Arcane

Ryze first appears in episode two for a brief cameo. He appears in a sequence where Jayce and his mother are stuck in a blizzard. Ryze uses his magic to teleport Jayce and his mother to Piltover. Ryze’s actions inspire Jayce to pursue combining magic and technology to better the world. While it is a brief cameo with no spoken words, it does set up Jayce’s character arc while also serving as a fan service moment.
