A recent leak might have revealed the Elex 2 launch date alongside its many Collector's Edition goodies - including a premium character statue and original keychain. According to the leaked trailer, Elex 2 will arrive on March 1, 2022 — just shortly after February's epic game brawl.

It seems that publisher THQ Nordic dropped Elex 2 Collector's Edition trailer earlier than intended. The original footage was quickly removed from YouTube, yet the leak has spread across the web with several re-uploads and screenshots. The listing at the end of the video reveals that Elex 2 is coming to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on March 1 next year.

This is the first time we get an exact launch date for the sequel to the old-school open-world RPG announced this June. Originally, Piranha Bytes planned to release Elex 2 in late 2021, but it seems things have changed, which is no surprise considering the impact COVID-19 has had. Apparently, the pre-orders for the title will go live pretty soon.

The leaked footage also reveals an early look at the physical Collector's Edition, which can be seen above. Elex 2 fans will get a decorated steelbook, highly detailed 9.2-inch Alb (one of the game's factions) statue, metal Clerics keychain, artbook featuring the look for the title's post-apocalyptic setting, an additional concept album by creative director Björn Pankratz, and the original soundtrack. A copy of the game will be also included in the Collector's Edition across all platforms.

Elex 2 is a direct sequel to 2017's Elex from the team behind the Gothic and Risen series, featuring the first entry's protagonist named Jax, now with his seven-year-old son. Players can expect major improvements for the follow-up's features, such as jetpacks, air combat, faction and companion systems, and more. However, the devs decided not to focus on how to make Elex 2's open-world bigger, but how to fill it with interesting places and a variety of activities.

More about Elex 2 can be found on the game's page on Steam, where you can add the project to your wishlist.
