We’ve got a release date for Yakuza: Like A Dragon thanks to the Microsoft Store. Those Microsoft guys are so nice about giving us release dates before anyone else.

So we found out that Yakuza: Like A Dragon will release sometime in November thanks to a recent English dub trailer (thanks, Sega!), but we still didn’t know when in November. Presumably at the same time as the Xbox Series X, since Yakuza: Like A Dragon is supposed to be a launch title, but a specific date and time were never provided.

Until now, that is. November 12, 7 PM EST. That’s when you can get Like A Dragon. Maybe.

The news comes from a Microsoft Store listing for the Day Ichi (that’s Day One) edition of Like A Dagon. This slightly special edition basically just comes in a fancy case and gives you a few neat costumes for pre-ordering. But the real news here is the date and time that the product becomes available, and that’s November 12.

Please note that this has yet to be confirmed by Sega, the guys who are actually publishing the game, so this might just be a mistake on Microsoft’s side. On the other hand, as a launch title, you’d expect Microsoft to know when Yakuza: Like A Dragon is coming out. This also might mean that the Xbox Series X will launch on November 12 as well, although we’ll give them a few days of wiggle room.

If you haven’t seen the new English dub trailer for Like A Dragon, you really need to check it out. This might be the first time I’ve ever heard a Yakuza game in English, but they did a pretty great job of actually syncing the mouth movements to the English voice actors. The whole thing looks like it’ll play like a ridiculous Netflix anime, and I’m here for it.

Plus, George Takei plays a Japanese crime boss, and that’s always a plus.

You can pre-order Yakuza: Like A Dragon now for an expected release on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One on November 12. PS5 players will have to wait until later in 2020, so probably December. We haven’t got a PlayStation Store leak yet, so there’s no specific date there.
