A popular feature in many games over the past few years has been the "photo mode". And now, latching on to the phenomenon's coattails could be the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. A four-second video posted to Twitter today by the game's official Twitter account was very indicative of this inclusion.

As seen in the video, there is a view of Night City during — the night. Appearing serene and lively for a brief few seconds, an image of an outlined camera appears on-screen and disappears shortly thereafter.

While the video could just be promotional for Cyberpunk 2077 and a short preview of the city at night, there are deep implications that a photo mode could be coming to Cyberpunk 2077. The use of #CaptureCyberpunk and #PhotosFromNightCity are also signs of a photo mode heading to Cyberpunk 2077.

As technology and technological advances are one of many themes and subjects in the game, the fact that there would be a camera used by main character V would not be surprising in the least. Furthermore, the beautiful vistas make for compelling pictures.

Also, a photo mode makes sense from a pragmatic standpoint. Plenty of other high-profile games such as Red Dead Redemption II, 2018's God of War, Grand Theft Auto V, Super Mario Odyssey, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End have all utilized a photo mode. As such, for CD Projekt RED not to implement the mode in Cyberpunk 2077 might be seen as a big mistake on its part, especially after this tweet.

As it stands, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to have a great deal of content even without this feature. While Keanu Reeves' character may not be romanceable, the game's other features more than make up for this sad oversight. For example, Cyberpunk 2077's story is billed as being highly intricate, with side quests and main quests having an impact on the story. Furthermore, the game will eventually get a multiplayer component after its launch. As a result, it is very clear gamers will be getting a game that is full of features and will be playable for months to after its release.

While a photo mode won't make or break Cyberpunk 2077, it would definitely be a unique addition and we welcome it with open arms.
