LeBron is coming to Fortnite. That's according to Fortnite leaker and insider Shiina, who posted the all-caps announcement on Twitter earlier today.

For those unaware, the Icon Series of skins got started with Ninja back in January of 2020. Since then, various gaming celebs have been added to Fortnite as skins, including Travis Scott, LazarBeam, Loserfruit, and TheGrefg. Arguably, LeBron James would be the biggest star to grace Fortnite yet.

This also explains why LeBron wasn't part of the recent NBA crossover event, which saw all 30 NBA franchises get their jerseys added to Fortnite. Advertising also featured several Fortnite versions of NBA stars, but King James was nowhere to be found.

LeBron’s absence raised quite a few eyebrows as we’d already found out from court documents that Epic was planning a LeBron/Fortnite collaboration. Discussions with the NBA superstar went back to June of last year, although no specific details or dates were provided in the Apple vs Epic case.

We still don’t have a date from this latest leak, but perhaps with the word out Epic will feel pressured to give us a more solid timeframe.

In the meantime, you can still get Loki's skin in Fortnite, although players are reporting some big visibility issues thanks to the character's gigantic horns. Since Fortnite is played in third-person, a character with a big, flashy helmet like Loki makes it difficult to see what you're aiming at, so playing with Loki's skin is a bit like giving yourself a handicap.

Players are asking Epic for a toned-down version of Loki’s helmet like the one depicted in the Disney+ program. No word from Epic on whether that will happen either.
