10 Ocarina Of Time - 99

The highest-scoring game on the list and for good reason. Ocarina of Time has been noted as one of the best games of all time, frequently taking the number 1 spot. While it shares the same play mechanics as its predecessors, with puzzles and exploration taking the front seat, Ocarina of Time did them all better with added perks.

Time travel was the key difference in the game. Taking players from a dream-like Hyrule with enjoyable challenges to facing formidable enemies in ancient temples. Choosing which version of Link to complete a task adds a unique dynamic to the gameplay.

9 Breath Of The Wild - 97

Proving the Legend of Zelda series hasn't reached its last legs, Breath of the Wild makes some significant changes to the established system and still manages to retain the magic we've come to know. Allowing players to interact with the environment to create weapons, armour, and as a means of travel.

8 The Wind Waker - 96

The Wind Waker is a sharp left turn for the Legend of Zelda series, especially in the looks department. Sporting a new cartoonish look that received mix reviews when first announced. You'll also be leaving Hyrule in place of sailing the great sea and exploring 49 unique islands.

On your travels, you'll meet a variety of characters, one of those being the very ship you sail who's able to keep you company. Trying to get from place to place before you can warp will take some time but you can also control the wind direction with the magical baton.

7 Twilight Princess - 96

To match their ageing fan base, there was a lot of talk surrounding whether they would release a more mature Zelda and Twilight Princess is the answer. Taking the form of a young adult Link rather than his usual child form is telling as to what the tone of the game is.

You get to change form like Ocarina Of Time, only now you become a wolf. With a whole new set of moves and abilities, you must seesaw back and forth between the two forms to rid Hyrule of the darkness called ''Twilight''.

6 Majora's Mask - 95

Majora's Mask is the sequel to Ocarina of Time and so inherited many of its gameplay mechanics. There are a few added features you have to contend with, making the experience more complex and enjoyable.

In Majoras Mask, you will have to play through the same 3 days until you eventually complete the game. Everything will be reset, including your dungeon progress unless they have been completed. You will also find 24 masks that when worn will change your abilities and even race.

Returning to the original Legend Of Zelda overhead view, A Link To The Past gives players much more interaction with NPC's who you need to gather information from to complete your travels. Magic also plays a more diverse role by interacting with certain items or casting spells along the way.

This game actually introduced the 2 world concepts int the series with the Light World and the Dark World. You will have separate maps for each as you move through them. When there's seemingly no place to go, check the other realm and see if a hidden path or door appears.

4 Ocarina Of Time 3D - 94

How were they not going to remake the greatest game of all time? With remastered graphics and smoother controls, Ocarina Of Time 3D brings us back the golden story we all loved with a few extras thrown in.

The usability of the inventory has been revamped, allowing quicker access to items with the 2 screen console. The great thing is as soon as players beat the game once, they give you a harder ''Master Quest'' with revised dungeons and mirrored controls.

3 Skyward Sword - 93

A game that was designed with Wii's motion capture technology in mind, Skyward Sword's controls heavily incorporate the Wii controls, a departure from the rest of the franchise. players also have a  redesigned map system that makes it easier to follow, cutting out the confusing wandering.

The ability of flight is also introduced with the loftwing bird carrying you through the sky. At any point in time, you can hop off the bird to explore the miniature islands that wait below.

A throwback to the good ole' days of top-down, 2D Legend Of Zelda. Players get the simple joy of the older format without having to suffer the 16-bit soundtrack or graphics. Also, the accessibility of maps and controls makes for a smooth ride.

Although you won't come by items defeating enemies in dungeons. You'll have to cough up some rupees and buy them at the store. A unique ability if merging into walls, becoming a hieroglyph to get in those tight spaces you've always wanted to explore.

1 Phantom Hourglass - 90

Combining the sea elements of The Wind Waker with the original dungeon exploration divides this game into 2 main stages. Plotting a course along the sea, players will have to defend the boat from attack and watch out for spots you can dive along the seafloor.

The combat focuses a lot more on stealth than previous installments, introducing remarkably durable guards that are better to avoid than fight. Outside of the story, you can play with other Link's in a competitive battle mode and prevent each other from retrieving Force Gems.
