It's hard to point out any element of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild that isn't good, let alone downright horrible. Each element of this game has been crafted with such an admirable degree of care and excellence that it's hard to point out a single flaw without it being blanketed with the numerous brilliant elements surrounding it that mask these minor faults. There's a reason why this game is labeled as a masterpiece, after all.

If there's one aspect of the game that might not be up to the high standards of the title, it's probably the boss fights. Breath Of The Wild is an incredibly challenging game with a ton of unique encounters, but the boss fights themselves feel like nothing more than your standard run-of-the-mill story encounters that do little to highlight the diversity of Breath Of The Wild's combat. One such fight is Windblight Ganon, who can still prove to be a thorn in the side of players who don't know how to deal with this abomination. If you're stuck on this particular boss fight, here's a step-by-step guide on how to fight Windblight Ganon.

10 Make Sure You Have A Good Bow And A Ton Of Arrows In Stock

Windblight Ganon will be out of your melee range throughout the majority of this encounter. Using a melee-focused strategy will just unnecessarily draw out this encounter.

This makes it important to equip a good bow and hold a good stock of elemental and bomb arrows so that you can dish out some serious damage.

9 Always Aim For The Eye

As is the case with most Blight bosses — and Guardian enemies, for that matter — the eye is the most obvious weak spot they have.

If you have the time to let loose a well-aimed arrow, always try and hit this part for massive damage.

8 Use The Updrafts To Your Advantage

There are several updrafts present all around the boss arena that can work in your favor if you manage to take advantage of one of them.

Fly up one of these updrafts and draw your blow mid-air to trigger slow motion and release as many arrows as possible. It's a great way to hit Windblight Ganon for a ton of damage.

7 Get Right Under Him When He Lowers To Whale At Him With Your Melee Attacks

Of course, if you have a good melee weapon that you wish to use during this battle, you can always wait for the moment when Windblight Ganon flies just a little bit close to the ground.

At this point, you can take out a spear and whale on him from this distance. Of course, keep in mind that staying close for too long will prompt him to attack you, so be wary of that while you unleash your melee assault.

6 Either Parry Or Dodge The Energy Projectile From His Arm Cannon

A melee onslaught won't last for too long, and you'll be keeping your range from Windblight Ganon more often than not.

In this case, Windblight Ganon might let off an attack from his arm cannon in the form of an energy blast. While you can dodge this blast or avoid it altogether by placing yourself strategically behind the terminal in the middle of the arena, parrying this blast with perfect timing will allow you to convert your perfect defense into a deadly offense.

5 When He Summons The Tornado...Run

This is the one attack that any player might find themselves stumped by since there's seemingly no way to counter this move... and they're absolutely right.

So, when Windblight Ganon decides to summon a tornado against you, just run and hope that you're not caught in this annoying attack. The worst part is that Windblight Ganon will summon multiple tornadoes in his second phase, which can get quite irritating.

4 The Four Satellites Orbiting Him In The Second Phase Can Be Destroyed... But They Respawn Rather Quickly

Speaking of his second phase, get ready for Windblight Ganon to go absolutely ballistic with his moveset. For starters, he'll summon four satellite orbs around his that augment his moveset and allow him to do unique things such as ricocheting his arm cannon blast on these objects before shooting it towards Link. This makes parrying these blasts even more challenging.

While you can definitely take care of these orbs with your ranged attacks, they come back so quickly that you're better off just focusing on Ganon himself.

3 His Charge Is Perhaps His Most Dangerous Move, So Dodge It To The Best Of Your Ability

The worst attack he can pull off during this second phase is a charged melee attack that can hit for massive damage.

The method to dodging this is the same as the one discussed for his tornado attack — just run and hope you don't get hit!

2 Parry His Guardian Laser To Stun Windblight Ganon

While his Guardian Laser might seem daunting at first glance, it's actually a golden moment for you to get a perfect parry.

Doing so will stun Windblight Ganon and allow you to wail on him with your melee weapons.

1 Maximize Your Damage Output During This Stun Phase With A Two-Handed Spin Attack

When Windblight Ganon is stunned, the idea of using whatever weapon you have on you to whack him nonstop might seem like a tempting idea, but it's advisable that you think before pursuing this course of action.

Instead, try equipping the most powerful two-handed weapon that you have and initiating a charged spin attack. The consistency of these hits will improve your DPS in this instance. Follow all these steps, and Windblight Ganon will soon be down for the count!
