Lemnis Gate is a mind-bending shooter where you play as all the members of your team at various intervals of time until they all synchronize into a melting pot of gunslinging objective hunters. The aim? Stop your enemies' past, present, and future. Mind-bending, as I said.
While doing this, you have seven characters to choose from. Each time you start another time loop, you'll play as a new character with the previous ones being greyed out. You'll get familiar with the whole cast of Lemnis Gate pretty quickly.
Like any hero shooter, they all have unique abilities and weapons. Each character has their own perks so you'll want to pick the right one for the right situation. Sometimes you need a speedster to rush in and grab an objective and sometimes you need a tank to decimate all of the enemies' variants. With that said, here is a breakdown of every character in the game.
Who Is Deathblow?
Speaking of tanks, Deathblow is the tankiest of the bunch.
They have a gigantic, comically large rocket launcher that can one-shot an enemy with a direct hit.
Their ability is the proximity mine. You deploy this and if anybody runs into it, they blow up.
It's good for thwarting a player's past path, blocking it while you scurry off to stop another of their variants.
Who Is Kapitan?
Kapitan is up next. They're what you can expect from an FPS - the standard footsoldier that you see even outside of a hero shooter.
That's because Kapitan has an automatic rifle and frag grenades.
Frag grenades explode on impact while your rifle will shred through an enemy's health bar if you keep it locked on 'em. They're good for laying down cover fire or destroying objectives.
Who Is Karl?
Karl is the friendly, somewhat murderous robot - they're Apex Legends' Pathfinder in aesthetic, but far more brutal in every other regard.
They have a weapon called the Precision Beam - it fires a constant stream of laser energy at an enemy, doling out incredible amounts of damage.
Meanwhile, their ability is a shield. Deploy it and you'll create a bubble that will block all projectiles.
This is handy for protecting objectives or stopping an enemy from killing one of your past selves.
Who Is Rush?
Rush is the speedster mentioned earlier. Their ability zaps them forward.
Otherwise, they have two pistols that they dual-wield.
They deal decent damage, although they aren't that effective against destroyable objectives.
Rush is best for nabbing collectible objectives and returning to base to secure the point.
Who Is Striker?
Striker is the mean-eyed sniper of the roster, with a horned head to boot.
Their ability slows down time letting them pick off enemies all over the map should they have a vantage point.
Realistically, you could bring things to a halt as the timer starts and kill as many enemies as possible from spawn, but that'll paint a target on your back for the next loop. Or rather, their back - your past self's pack. Mind-bending.
Who Is Toxin?
Toxin looks a little like Pyro from Team Fortress 2 but rather than gushing fire, they have a gloop cannon.
Their main weapon lobs poison at enemies, leaving an area of impact.
Meanwhile, their ability is a projectile that teleports them to where it lands. You can even lob it at enemies and land inside of them.
Who Is Vendetta?
Vendetta has a shotgun. It's standard stuff - massive damage at short range, ineffective at long.
What stands out is their ability. You can deploy a number of turrets.
Set these up early on and you'll make things much harder for the enemy in subsequent loops, marking Vendetta as a great defense character.
