Life is Strange 2 is a Square Enix game that is full of emotional themes and powerful decisions for you to make. Some of the game is light-hearted in tone, while the rest is the complete opposite. Most Life Is Strange fans had trouble making their minds up at many points in the game due to how difficult the decisions are.

Below you will find some interesting decisions that are extremely hard to decide on within this choice-based video game. From Christmas presents to robbing a gas station, here are some of the most difficult decisions that the fanbase can barely decide on in Life Is Strange 2.

Updated on September 29, 2021, by Michael Caruso: Similar to the first Life Is Strange, Life Is Strange 2 is packed with decisions that will have both positive and negative outcomes. Sometimes these decisions are small, such as stealing snacks. However, some decisions affect everything about Sean and Daniel's future, so you have to be careful to make the right choice. The choices included initially are very important, but we've added a few more that made Sean think hard before taking action.

13 Forgiving Finn

When you're leaving the hospital in Chapter Four, you'll encounter Finn after leaving your room. After everything Finn did to Sean in Chapter Three, it's no wonder that he is frustrated with the way his friend acted.

However, Sean has the option to forgive Finn for his wrong decision, but you'll have to choose this. Whether you forgive Finn or not is a personal decision; however, he does display true remorse for his actions.

12 Sean's Romance Options

Similar to other games with a plethora of choices, there are multiple characters that Sean can romance in Life Is Strange 2. During Chapter Three, you'll join Finn and Cassidy, and Sean has the chance to bond with them more closely.

Finn and Cassidy are both interesting characters with very different personalities, so it may be hard to decide on which one you want Sean to form a relationship with.

11 Sean's Hug With Karen

Although Karen helps Sean and Daniel throughout the story of Life Is Strange 2, it doesn't fully make up for the fact that she left when they were children, at least in the eyes of most players. However, you will have a chance to allow Sean to make amends with his mother by hugging her and through some extra dialogue that shows the two characters talking about the past.

It's hard for Sean to accept that his mother left him and Daniel, but at least it's possible to try to move past it if you make certain dialogue choices. Like other choices, though, the decision is completely in your hands.

10 Letting Daniel Use His Powers

Throughout the game, there are a few different chances to either encourage or dissuade Daniel on the topic of using his powers in front of others. This issue comes up many times, and depending on your decision in these situations, Daniel will turn out very differently by the end of the game.

It is interesting to see how Daniel reacts to Sean's pleading or encouragement, and this is one of the decisions that make playing through the game a second time completely worth it.

9 Stealing From The Store

Towards the beginning of the game, the boys enter a gas station mart to buy items. You have the option to steal, and it's a tempting choice because Sean has very little money at his disposal. Deciding on which necessities are most important is a difficult task.

Stealing from the shop is not the right thing to do by a long shot. However, in their situation, it's easy to see why Sean might think he has no other option, which is why so many fans steal at least a little bit of food. This choice is notable because there are so many different items to steal, both small and large, or you can decide not to steal at all.

8 Confronting Brett

Brett appears at the very beginning of Chapter One, and he bullies both Sean and Daniel. Sean can choose to stand up to Brett or blame the situation on Daniel. It's hard to decide because although Brett is quite the bully, Sean doesn't want to create any more issues for their family.

You'll eventually have the choice to stick up for your character, and this is a difficult decision that was hard to make. On the one hand, it would feel good to snap back; on the other, Sean should be the bigger person.

7 Let Daniel Kill Lisbeth

Lisbeth is the reverend that tries to exploit Daniel for her own gain in Chapter Four. After Sean saves Daniel, he may choose to kill her for taking advantage of his power. Deciding whether to stop him is a tough decision because she was portrayed as an extremely evil person by misleading her church and withholding medicine from a sick child.

Daniel will eventually kill Lisbeth if you don't intervene, and after finishing all of Chapter Four, it's not too hard to see why Sean would let him do it after all they have been through.

6 A Present For Daniel

This choice is more light-hearted than the last few, but it's still somewhat challenging. During Chapter Two, Sean will get to visit a Christmas tree farm, and while he is there, you have the chance to buy Daniel a cheap Christmas present. Because of how weird all of the toys are at the stand, it can be hard to decide on which one to buy.

Daniel is a simple kid, but he also likes cool toys, and you probably don't want to get him one that will disappoint. Hopefully, Sean can make the right choice for this Christmas shopping decision.

5 Sean's Tattoo

You can choose to let Sean get a tattoo in Chapter Three. Cassidy is insistent upon it, but you can reject the idea entirely if you so choose. This choice all comes down to personal preference, and no two players will feel the exact same way about letting their character get a tattoo on a whim.

Although this choice isn't very important to the game's overall narrative, it can signal how certain players feel about Sean and his actions. You'll want to be sure to choose wisely because a tattoo is a permanent commitment.

4 Call Lyla

Sean can choose to call Lyla, his best friend, at the end of Chapter One. It will be an emotional phone call, and the decision to call her is definitely a risky one. She is his best friend, but the police could track the call, which makes for a difficult decision which has good points on both ends.

If you choose to call her, they will talk for a few minutes, and then Sean will destroy his phone. It's not as if he was getting much use out of the device anyway since he couldn't charge it on the road.

3 Robbing Merrill

The biggest decision in Life is Strange 2 Chapter Three is whether you decided to rob Merrill or not. Finn will offer Sean and Daniel a deal, and you can either accept or decline. Regardless of your choice, Daniel and Finn will both go through with it with or without Sean's help.

This decision is not to be taken lightly, and many players have trouble making up their minds about it. It's not a bad get rich quick scheme, given Daniel's powerful abilities, but it ended up turning bad for all of them, and unfortunately, there's not much Sean can do to stop the situation from occurring.

2 Telling Sean's Grandparents About Daniel's Powers

It's very hard to decide whether to let Sean's Grandparents, specifically Steven, in on their secret. You don't know what they'll say or do about it; they could call the cops as far as Sean is concerned.

However, the Grandparents are, in fact, trustworthy, and although it is a risk, a large portion of the player-base decided to let them know what was really going on. After all, the grandparents were nice to the boys.

1 Destroy The Border Or Surrender

This is the final decision in the game. Many factors and decisions made throughout the entirety of the game can potentially affect the outcome of this choice. The border has lots of police officers, and many of them are armed. You can either choose to give Sean up and go to jail or let Daniel unleash his power on the police, killing or injuring all of the police officers and clearing a path so the brothers can drive into Mexico.

This choice has so much emotion behind it, and it's easy to see why it deserves the top spot as the hardest decision to make in the story of Life Is Strange 2. You may have to pause the game for a minute to make your mind up because this choice will affect everything.
