The Life is Strange remastered bundle finally has a Nintendo Switch release date - September 27, as announced by Square Enix. The Switch version even has a unique name — Life is Strange: Arcadia Bay Collection.

The wait is almost over. Following a pretty long delay, the bundle, which includes the original Life is Strange and its prequel Before the Storm is now due to arrive in late September. Arcadia Bay Collection will be available both physically and digitally.

The remastered collection of these two games first arrived on PC and console back in February, with the Switch version being pushed to an unspecified date later this year. This is due to the publisher's goal of providing extra enhancements on Switch, such as "improved and optimized" character models and environments across both titles. You can also expect all-new motion-captured facial performances for the original Life is Strange, not to mention that Arcadia Bay Collection will also include all updates released by the devs since February.

The collection's trailer you can see embedded above provides a look at how charming it can be to relive the story of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price outside your home. Maybe you'll take a trip with them and play on the go. Life is Strange's special atmosphere seems very appealing for being experienced somewhere miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded only by the calming sound of nature. In addition to Nintendo Switch, you can also enjoy the remastered collection anywhere on Steam Deck, as both titles are already verified for Valve's own portable platform.

We still have no idea what's coming next for Life is Strange but Before the Storm and True Colors developer Deck Nine earlier revealed the series is unlikely to return to its episodic model, with each story chapter released over the course of several months. From the sounds of it, the studio will continue developing further instalments in the Life is Strange series, so all fans have to do is wait for official announcements.
