At some point in your life, you've probably been in a frustrating situation where you can't remember the title of a song, and all you can recall is a single lyric of it. A student in Life Is Strange: True Colors has that exact same issue. Thankfully for them, Alex Chen's supernatural abilities are there to save the day, which is another reason why she might be the best character in Life is Strange history.

You're able to help them during Chapter Three of the game, which will earn you the Earworm Squasher achievement or trophy. However, it's not immediately obvious how to lend the student a hand. Therefore, here is a full explanation of what you have to do.

Interact With The Student

You can only do this during Chapter Three's initial bar scene. The first thing you need to do is go to the student. She is sitting in the booth pretty close to Steph and Ryan. Use your special ability on her to hear the student recite a single lyric of a song and mention that the tune used to always play in the Black Lantern.

Alex has never heard of it before and wonders if Jed knows where it went. At this point, you can ignore the game as Jed is no help, but you still need to figure out the song's name.

Figure Out The Name Of The Song

Instead of going to Jed, talk to Steph who's much more knowledgeable about music. She's sitting beside Ryan at the bar, not far from the student. Use the 'song' prompt on Steph to sing the one line the student knew.

The Radio DJ instantly recognizes the song as Alabaster Daydreams, which is not exactly as famous as some of the other tracks in the game. You then hear the story of why the piece of music isn't played in the bar anymore. It turns out Jed used to love the song until Gabe wouldn't stop playing it.

Find And Play The Song

Now, go to Jed, who's sitting in the corner of the room, next to the front entrance. Hit the 'song' prompt again, and the man will reveal that he hid the tune behind the bar. He's not lying, either, as it is back there, next to the computer. Collect the piece of music and take it to the Jukebox that's next to the bar. Use the 'Alabaster Daydreams' prompt to insert it and press 'play song'.

The achievement or trophy will pop at this point. However, you can return to the student and use your power again to hear how understandably confused she is that the song is suddenly playing. It's a nice little good deed Alex can do, plus it adds a bit of extra length to the relatively short game.
