Mystery still surrounds many inhabitants of Haven Springs. Do they have any connection to the people of Arcadia Bay? Or maybe to the Typhon Corporation? And what about Alex's virtually unexplored past? True Colors leaves many plotlines unanswered, and it's fun to theorize what the answers to these questions may be.

Spoilers ahead for Life Is Strange: True Colors

10 Why Was Chloe In Haven Springs?

Split image of Chloe Price from Life is Strange on the left, and graffiti made by her on the right.

During Chapter One, Alex, Gabe, and Ryan head towards the mines in search of Ethan. While looking for the secret entrance Ethan found, you can see graffiti made by Chloe Price (from the original Life Is Strange) on a door hidden behind a piece of machinery. The big question is, why was Chloe in Haven Springs? Perhaps she visited the town at some point or even lived there.

The graffiti might just be an Easter egg for fans of the previous games to gawk over. Still, it's nice to think Chloe and Alex hung out at some point.

9 What Is The Relationship Between Alex And Doctor Lynn?

Drawing pinned up on a wall of two different emotions: anger and fear.

True Colors begins with a cutscene of Doctor Lynn talking to Alex about her feelings on leaving foster care. From the offset, Alex seems to have a turbulent relationship with Doctor Lynn, and text messages found later in the game further add to this. It could be that the two had a rocky relationship due to Alex struggling to control her emotions or something deeper-rooted.

An event that triggered this dislike between Alex and Doctor Lynn, for example. Then again, there's always the assumed disdain young people have towards authority.

8 What Are The Origins Of Alex's Empathic Abilities?

Alex Chen can feel other people's emotions and see the corresponding auras around them. It's a pretty tough break, having something so painful that you can't turn off, but it's what she's always known. Powerful emotions affect Alex just as they affect the person initially feeling them; it influences her body language, her reactions and, at times, makes Alex seem like a mirrored image of the other person.

With such a fantastic premise as that, it's understandable why Deck Nine wouldn't want to explain away the finite details of Alex's empathic origins, instead opting to keep them shrouded in mystery. Though it does bring up the question of whether Gabe had abilities he was unaware of or if Alex was alone in these strange circumstances.

7 Does Typhon Have Eyes In Other Cities?

Typhon is everywhere. They have eyes all around Haven, using security cameras as a way of keeping track of people, and for all we know, their reach could be further than ever imagined. Typhon could connect to a more prominent company, an overseer of sorts that uses similar methods to ensure people stay in their place.

Typhon could potentially have roots in other Life Is Strange games. Maybe the developers will reveal how far their reach goes, but for now, all players have to go off is that the corporation is incredibly creepy.

6 Is Haven Springs' History Darker Than Just The Mining Incidents?

The history of Haven Springs was covered up in a ploy to keep an innocent picture of the town. Everyone has their secrets, whether they're small insubstantial things or secrets that can change the course of someone's life forever. Money drives the Typhon cooperation to cover their tracks and hide any dirty work they once did.

But what if the mines aren't the only truths to be buried within Haven? Could a future game explore this if the town is darker than what Deck Nine shows in True Colors?

5 Did Gabe Watch Over Alex Through The Events Of True Colors?

The ending of Life Is Strange: True Colors reveals a lone Alex asking her recently departed brother for advice over her future in Haven. The scene that follows is comforting for both the players and Alex alike. The chance of the possible closure she needed, things she longed to say to her brother. Players will see Gabe's presence in two different ways.

Alex could be imagining what her big brother would tell her at a time like this, pulling distant memories as inspiration for the advice he would give her. Or maybe he is talking to her from the afterlife. Gabe finally has justice for his wrongful passing and is at peace enough to speak with his sister. It's a nice sentiment.

4 What's The Extent Of Alex's Powers?

Progressing through the story of True Colors shows that Alex can do much more than just sense other people's emotions. The story introduces how these emotions will affect Alex in the game's early stages and, later in the game, how she can even view the world through others' perceptions.

Training and growth go hand-in-hand, so it would make sense that as Alex accepts these powers and herself, a broader knowledge of her abilities will begin to develop. But just how far could she go with this?

3 Will Taking Away Characters Emotions Affect Them For Life?

Different choices are presented throughout True Colors, deciding where to draw the line on how you use Alex's empathic abilities. Do you take away the emotions that are profoundly affecting the people you've come to care about, with the risk of essentially forcing them into hollow nothingness? The alternative is allowing these emotions to simmer and grow, but our feelings are what makes us human after all.

If you choose the former, hoping to relieve some of the pain, it could have consequences for the rest of that character's life. Did your good intentions tie them to a worse fate? That's the central question of True Colors.

2 Are The Origins Of The Life Is Strange Characters Powers Connected?

Sean and Daniel Diaz from Life Is Strange 2 standing side by side.

It's safe to say that superpowers aren't something you'll come across in everyday life - that is, unless you're a Life Is Strange character. Three different leads with powers, three different concepts. Max has control over time; she has the chance to try again. Something everyone longs to have. Daniel, with the power of telekinesis, can move things with his mind. It's the superpower every kid dreams of having. Finally, Alex looks past the barriers people put up to protect themselves, seeing past the facade and revealing their genuine emotions. A blessing and a curse.

None of the Life Is Strange games have ever fully explored the origins of these powers, but with how close all these events transpired and the similarities between these characters' abilities, could the sources potentially be connected?

1 Will The Protagonists Of Life Is Strange Ever Meet?

Max Caulfield from Life Is Strange Remastered. She is sitting next to Chloe Price.

The Life Is Strange Series has come a long way from the rustic feel of the very first game. Characters from all different walks of life, dealing with their own personal and unique struggles. It would be an exhilarating ride if these characters met.

Max and Chloe would be a lot older. Sean and Daniel would have unbelievable stories to tell, and Alex? Well, she'd be feeling all the love in the world for these remarkable people. They could even put together a team.
