It’s not exactly a $2 million sealed copy of Super Mario, but this Game & Watch system is certainly notable, not the least for being in incredible shape despite being almost 40 years old.

A special commemorative edition Game & Watch handheld system was sold on Yahoo Japan last weekend for $9,100. What made this Game & Watch so special is that it was commissioned by Game & Watch creator Gunpei Yokoi after Nintendo sold 20 million Game & Watch systems back in 1982.

The 20 Million Game & Watch edition features a commemorative faceplate with designer Gunpei Yokoi in the front, along with two others. Game blog Beforemario said in a Twitter post that one is “Momose-san,” a man who was in charge in creating the Game & Watch faceplates, as well as “Ishida-san,” who we know nothing about but was apparently important enough to share a group hug with Yokoi-san and Momose-san.

This piece has also been remarkably well preserved. Most Game & Watches sell for around $2,000 if they're in good condition, according to Ars Technica, but this one went for many times that.
