Surprising absolutely no one, Link's Awakening is a hot seller on the Amazon charts. This Legend of Zelda remake, set to release on Friday, is one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch titles coming up.

Link's Awakening was one of the more interesting announcements from Nintendo's February Direct. While Nintendo has remastered certain Zelda titles, this is the first complete remake of one. Link's Awakening was originally released on the Game Boy in 1993. Because of its overall dated nature in comparison to other titles, it was arguably the perfect candidate for a full-blown remake. During Gamescom last month, Nintendo showcased footage from the Link's Awakening remake, highlighting the adorable art style and combat. Nintendo's endeavors appear to be paying off, because the game is already doing well in pre-sales.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a bestseller on Amazon's video game charts worldwide. Compiled by Erudipedia, Link's Awakening is #1 on Amazon Japan and Amazon France. Not counting gift cards, the game is the bestselling title on Amazon US, and ranks second overall on Amazon Germany. Altogether, Link's Awakening should be seeing some impressive sales when it releases this Friday.

It's not hard to see why Link's Awakening is already a bestseller. First, the art style is wholesome and fun to look at, something Nintendo has proven to do very well with throughout the years with games like Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Yoshi's Crafted World. Many people have not played Link's Awakening, so this will be their first foray into the game. Those who played the original all those years ago have nostalgia, and there's the new Chamber Dungeon mode to play around with.

New Zelda games are always highly anticipated, and with how well the Nintendo Switch is doing, Link's Awakening should sell very well. It's not going to do as well as something like Breath of the Wild, but could end up being one of the biggest sellers on Switch this year. For those wanting some unique Zelda action in the meantime, Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer is available on the eShop.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will be released for Nintendo Switch on September 20.
