PlayStation Latin America has deleted a Tweet that seemingly reconfirmed that anticipated indie game Little Devil Inside is releasing in July.
The official Twitter account for PlayStation Latin America posted an image of upcoming PlayStation releases for July with the caption, "You better get your thumbs ready, because July is going to have some great PlayStation releases. Which ones do you plan to play?"
Within that list of July releases was Little Devil Inside, which was put at the bottom without a specific release date. The Tweet remained up for a couple of days and was taken as a soft confirmation before PlayStation Latin America deleted it altogether and uploaded a new version without Little Devil Inside on it.
This suggests that either the Twitter account was wrong about the release date entirely, or that it was revealed earlier than Sony would like and the Tweet was deleted so it could make the announcement at a later date itself.
This isn't the first time we've been given a July release date for Little Devil Inside, as an updated version of the PS5 reveal stream listed expected release dates for several of the titles shown. Little Devil Inside was one of those titles, and it was listed as releasing in July by the updated trailer, before all of the release dates were removed entirely.
It's possible that PlayStation Latin America was simply running off of the information that was presented during the PS5 reveal stream, which would also explain why the Tweet was taken down.
For those who don't remember Little Devil Inside, it started life as a Kickstarter before being made a timed PlayStation exclusive. It made a pretty big impression when it was shown off at the PS5 reveal stream, and fans have been waiting on an update since.
As it stands right now, it's looking like Little Devil Inside probably won't be releasing in July. If it does manage to, it's not too much of a stretch for a game to get a release date in the same month as the announcement, as games like Disco Elysium: The Final Cut has proven.
