Another Live-Action Sonic Leak Shows Him Running And He Needs To Stay Away

Hopefully, you aren't tired of hearing about the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog film, because the leaks keep coming. An image has been making the rounds across the Internet, giving a glimpse of how Sonic's running could look in a live-action setting. Popular YouTuber Tails' Channel, a destination for everything Sonic news, states the image has been verified from a Paramount source.

That's not all. Tails' Channel later posted a video with a potential scoop. According to them, the above image is actually not in the film. Instead, it's from a video that was pitched to Sony before Paramount took control of the project. In addition to this, Tails' Channel says the full render that was recently leaked is not the definite final design. This means that we could see some tweaks. At this point, the only officially released image is the poster with Sonic's silhouette. It sounds like some of the things we've seen since could be tweaked.

As for when we'll hear some news on the movie, South by Southwest (SXSW) is the likely place. The event is running until March 17th. It was confirmed that Sonic will be getting a panel to be held on March 16th. Although the film is not technically listed to be part of the news, it's more than likely we'll hear something, as it's a big deal for the character in 2019. With the film releasing in eight months, it would not be unreasonable to expect a teaser trailer. We might finally know once and for all how Sonic will look in the movie.

It's also likely we'll hear some game news at SXSW. Right now, the only Sonic game confirmed is Team Sonic Racing, which is coming in late May after being delayed from its 2018 release. It has been almost two years since the release of Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces. The time is right to announce the next platforming title. Could we see a video game adaption of the movie? We'll know for sure next week what the future holds for everyone's favorite hedgehog.

Sonic the Hedgehog will zoom into theaters on November 8th, 2019.
