Lost Ark isn't slated to arrive until early 2022, but fans of the free-to-play MMO can check out a closed beta on November 4. Smilegate and Amazon Games plan on using this time to determine server stability and work out any technical issues before an official release.

Joining the closed beta is simple – either purchase a Founders Pack on Steam for guaranteed access or press your luck and sign up for free on the Lost Ark website. The closed beta runs until November 11, giving you plenty of time to check out the upcoming MMO from Amazon and see how its western release is shaping up.

Although the game is incredibly popular in eastern markets for years, Lost Ark is only just making its way west – thanks to Amazon Games and Smilegate. Lost Ark is a unique MMORPG that's played from a top-down perspective and features an action-heavy battle system. Think Path of Exile mixed with Guild Wars 2, and you're on the right track.

If you're lucky enough to get invited to Lost Ark's closed beta, you'll receive a Steam Key that grants you access to the event. Your best bet, however, is to simply pick up a Founder's Pack on Steam – although those run anywhere from $14.99 to $99.99, offering an increasing variety of in-game loot other benefits.

Lost Ark's closed beta runs from November 4 to November 11. The game will be offered as a free-to-play title when it launches on March 31, 2022.
