The very first trailer for Lost Eidolons closed beta is here, and you can check it out in all of its fantasy-themed turn-based glory below.

Contrary to what you may have heard or what you might think due to the pandemic, 2021 has been a very busy year for games. Most notably on the indie front as more and more smaller studios attempt to follow in Hades footsteps and stake their claim for game of the year. The indie scene is a crowded one though, so it takes something special to stand out.

Ocean Drive is preparing to wade into those busy waters via its upcoming turn-based RPG, Lost Eidolons. The demo for the fantasy strategy game launched on Steam earlier this year, and it is now being prepared for its very first closed beta. You can check out the trailer for Lost Eidolons' first beta below, which launches next week on September 30.

Next week's closed beta will be the first of three before the game's full launch which will hopefully be in early 2022 if all goes to plan. The demo is available now on Steam, and you can sign up to be a part of the closed beta right now. You can also join the Lost Eidolons community and be the first to know everything about the game's future by joining its Discord.

Lost Eidolons is set in the fantasy world of Artemesia and focuses on the fall and subsequent rise of its main character, Eden. Players will be tasked with battling through a number of episodes, the first of which will be available to play during the upcoming beta, as Eden and his soldiers attempt to overthrow the emperor and take back his hometown of Lonetta.

As you can see in its beta trailer, Lost Eidolons delves a little deeper than your regular turn-based strategy game. The character customization options, even at this early stage, are fairly extensive, and the story waiting to be told sounds like it might well be one that keeps you hooked throughout all of its episodes. Sign up for the first closed beta now for the chance to be one of the first to see what this game has to offer.
