Some people are lucky enough to be living in parts of the world where you can already play Lost Judgment. Unless you want to play the sequel on PlayStation, that is.

The video game release slate is ramping up as we prepare to turn the corner into the final three months of the year. This week is a particularly big one as Kena: Bridge Of Spirits and Lost Judgment both hit the market. In fact, if you pre-ordered Lost Judgment you'll actually be able to play it from September 21.

That's providing the rest of the world doesn't suffer the same fate as Australia and New Zealand. Since the southern hemisphere countries are further ahead than the rest of the world time-wise, Aussies and New Zealanders were the first people to play Lost Judgment. In theory, at least.

A tweet from developer RGG Studio has revealed that early access for pre-order customers has failed to go live on PlayStation in Australia and New Zealand. “We appreciate your patience while we resolve the issue as soon as possible,” the tweet reads. That tweet was published two hours ago and at the time of typing this there has been no follow-up, so it's assumed the issue is yet to be resolved.

Xbox players have not reported the same issue and early access seems to have gone off without a hitch in all regions that have passed midnight at this point in time. What remains unclear at this time is whether the game's early access will be fine in other regions as September 20 becomes September 21 in Asia, Europe, and then North America a few hours from now.

Lost Judgment is the first game in the Yakuza universe to undergo a worldwide simultaneous release, so it's understandable that there are some teething problems. If you haven't pre-ordered the game, then it launches on all major platforms this Friday, September 24. It might well be the last in the series too if an issue between Sega and the agency that manages the game's voice actors can't be resolved.
