The third Title Update – fittingly called TU3 – has been pushed to Madden NFL 22, bringing with it some authenticity improvements for some of the NFL’s rising stars, new Franchise mode Scouting features, as well as some gameplay fine-tuning that will hopefully reduce the amount of frustration that has come with some of the faulty pass coverage assignments that your defenders have been putting you through.

  • Run-Off Elite - WRs will distract defenders for a longer amount of time with their runoff skill
  • On The Ball - Players with this ability will be less likely to be fooled by WR runoffs
  • Precision Kicker - Kickers will be able see the entirety of their kicking arc
  • Crusher - Hit stick tackles will add a layer of fatigue to the tackled player
  • Demoralizer - With this ability, defenders can clear a ballcarrier's progress towards entering the zone with a hit-stick tackle
  • Mind Reader (X-Factor) - Defenders can see offensive play art when using coach cam while activated

Pass coverage updates are a welcomed improvement to Madden 22, and are long-overdue. Your defense should be able to hang a bit better during pass coverage with adjustments to hook zones, curl-flat zones, flat zones, and man coverage alignment and matchups.

In addition to a slew of other updates and improvements to overall gameplay, The Yard, and Face of the Franchise, new Scouting features have made their way into Franchise mode, giving you a lot more depth and control over your scouting strategy during the season.
