The recent Magic: The Gathering collaboration with Warhammer 40,000 has birthed four new Commander decks bursting at the seams with new cards. Thanks to the Necron Dynasties Commander Deck, which is focused on the robotic Necron faction, artifacts make up a considerable chunk of those cards in some shape or form.

Artifacts can be very powerful cards when in the hands of the right player. The Warhammer decks certainly deliver on that front, with multiple cards looking like they could have a lasting impact on the format.

10 Reaver Titan

Reaver Titan

While it may be a clunky card, sitting at seven generic mana to cast, Reaver Titan has quite a lot going for it under the surface. Most notably, its Void Shields ability grants it protection from all cards with a converted mana cost of three or less. This makes it immune to a huge chunk of removal spells that see a high amount of play.

Then there's the damage Reaver Titan can deal. It's a 10/10, which is imposing enough. But when it attacks, it automatically deals five damage directly to each opponent. Reaver Titan may look like an average card at the surface, but when you dig deeper, it's one of the best vehicles from the Warhammer additions.

9 Sceptre Of Eternal Glory

Sceptre of Eternal Glory

Anyone who runs Gilded Lotus in their mono-colored Commander decks just received a more effective and cheaper replacement. Costing four generic mana, Sceptre of Eternal Glory taps for one mana of any color or three of any one color if you control three lands of the same name. In a mono-colored deck, it's all but guaranteed that you already have three of the same named lands out there when you cast Sceptre.

Sceptre of Eternal Glory might sneak into every mono-colored commander deck moving forward.

8 Caged Sun

Magic the Gathering Warhammer 40000 Caged Sun

With plenty of new cards printed with the Warhammer 40,000 Commander decks, there were still a handful of reprints that were great to see, and Caged Sun is one of them.

It may be a bit of a slow-burn card, as it sits at six generic mana, but it has great benefits once it's in play. Its boost of creatures with a single color of your choosing makes it a great fit for mono-colored decks. Tapping for additional mana is always a good perk, as it can help you roll into those heavy hitters even sooner.

7 Convergence Of Dominion

Magic the Gathering Warhammer 40000 Necron Convergence of Dominion

Convergence of Dominion is a card printed solely for use in Commander, as it can only be effectively used while you have control of your commander. With its Dynastic Command Node ability, all cards in your graveyard have their activated abilities reduced by two. You can even pump your graveyard by self-milling with the Translocation Protocols ability.

Paired with a card like Ghost Ark (more on that soon), all your cards unearth abilities cost only one mana to activate. While somewhat strong on its own, Convergence of Dominion will quickly get out of hand when paired correctly.

6 Ghost Ark

Magic the Gathering Warhammer 40000 Necron Ghost Ark

Another artifact vehicle, Ghost Ark costs four generic mana and is a 3/3 after crewed. That's not what makes it great, though. When Ghost Ark becomes crewed, all artifact creature cards in your graveyard gain unearth 3.

If you run the new and very strong enchantment Biotransference with Ghost Ark, then all your creatures become artifacts and can therefore be brought back with unearth. With such a high ceiling, Ghost Ark may very well be the best vehicle printed in the Warhammer 40,000 decks.

5 The Golden Throne

The Golden Throne

There's so much going on with The Golden Throne, all of which make it one of the best artifacts from the Warhammer series. First is its iconic art, done by the legendary Warhammer artist John Blanche. Second is its ability to save you from death with its Arcane Life-support ability.

Most importantly is the A Thousand Souls Die Every Day tapped ability, which has you sacrifice a creature to gain three mana in any assortment of colors. This ability will run rampant in a deck high on token creatures and see activation almost every turn. It's a great card that can both fix mana issues and ramp at the same time.

4 Resurrection Orb

Magic the Gathering Warhammer 40000 Necron Resurrection Orb

Resurrection Orb is going to be a menace in the right Commander deck. Costing two generic mana and four to equip, it gives the equipped creature lifelink. But that's not all; the equipment's resurrection aspect will make it an issue as the equipped creature returns to the battlefield at the next end step.

Put into a deck with a card like Syr Gwyn, Hero of Ashvale, and you can keep your biggest threats out there indefinitely if played correctly.

3 Triarch Stalker

Magic the Gathering Warhammer 40000 Necron Triarch Stalker

It feels awful being targeted by everyone else while playing a Commander game, and Triarch Stalker just made it worse. Thanks to its Targeting Relay ability, you can choose an opponent, and until your next turn, all creatures that attack that player gain menace. That means the more players there are, the harder Triarch Stalker will hit.

In a big enough game, this card's ability can be a death sentence, throwing a gigantic target on any player affected by it. Even the strongest deck can only survive wave after wave of attacking creatures with menace for so long.

2 Anrakyr The Traveller

Magic the Gathering Warhammer 40000 Necron Anrakyr the Traveller

If Bolas's Citadel were a creature, it would be Anrakyr the Traveller. With its Lord of the Pyrrhian Legions ability, anytime it attacks, you can pay life equal to a card's mana cost to cast artifact cards from your graveyard and hand. It's only a matter of time before a powerful combo comes off this card's ability.

This is yet another reason why Biotransference is one of the best cards from the Warhammer lot. Paired with this, it allows you to cast any creature in your hand or graveyard. Throw Resurrection Orb on Anrakyr the Traveller to be sure it comes back if killed while attacking for added security as well.

1 Trazyn The Infinite

MTG Top 10 Warhammer 40k Commander Trazyn the Infinite

Trazyn the Infinite is not only one of the most powerful cards to come from the Warhammer cards, but it is also going to be the most fun to play with. Its Prismatic Gallery ability, which gives it the activated abilities of all artifact cards in your graveyard, will lead to some wacky and truly powerful combos.

Staff of Domination and any mana rock that taps for two or more mana in your graveyard is infinite mana with Trazyn the Infinite. That's only one of the endless ways this card is going to break the game open. Pair it with the already mentioned and wonderful Biotransference, and the options are endless.
