Much like Skyrim, it seems anything is possible in the world of GTA Online. Whether it’s controversial electioneering in a GTA Online role-playing server, or using tanks to launch submarines out of the water, the massive open world never fails to entertain those of us who sit at the sidelines, too intimidated to venture in.

In one of the game’s latest antics, the Los Santos Tuners update enabled a number of players to recreate a Mario Kart race in GTA Online. A video of the race was shared on Reddit by iosgamer2day, and it definitely looks like a faithful recreation of the kart racer; well, as much as GTA Online allowed it to be.

As spotted by GameRant, all the racers in the video can be seen to be driving go-karts, except one, who was using a motorbike for some reason. While Mario can easily be spotted, it didn’t look like the other players tried to emulate characters from Nintendo’s kart racer.

This was all possible thanks to GTA Online’s latest update, Los Santos Tuners. The update added a Fast and the Furious themed spin to the game, with 17 new cars including the Annis Remus, Dinka RT3000, and the Vapid Dominator GTT being added over the summer. The LS Car Meet features a warehouse in which as many as 30 players can meet up and show off their rides. There, you will be able to mod your cars in real-time along with everyone else.

The Los Santos Tuners update is clearly very popular, as more players joined the game with this update than any other, including the Cayo Perico Heist. “A huge thank you to our amazing GTA Online community — we're extremely humbled to share that more players joined GTA Online for the launch of Los Santos Tuners than any update ever! In thanks, we’re dropping GTA$250K in everyone’s accounts shortly. See you on the streets of LS!” tweeted Rockstar Games in appreciation.

While fast cars and go-karts are all good, true GTA fans would recognise every nook and corner of Los Santos. With that exact purpose in mind, a GTA 5 GeoGuessr has been created for you to guess your location after being dropped on a random location on the map.
