The highly anticipated Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo's latest free-to-play mobile game, will be released tomorrow, September 25, featuring a brand new New York-inspired course.

This new course will be the first city-based course offered in the game. Every two weeks, racers will have the chance to test their skills in a new course inspired by a real-life city. And it looks like the Big Apple will be the first destination.

In addition to testing out the new course, players also have the opportunity to earn special bonuses while racing, including two new playable characters - Mario (Musician) and Pauline, both from Super Mario Odyssey. Both of these characters were featured in the wittily named New Donk City in Odyssey, which makes sense as to why they'll be part of the New York tour.

Here's Mario, wearing a snazzy maroon suit and black hat.

And here's Pauline, making her Mario Kart debut, dressed to the nine's in a glamorous red dress with gold jewelry. She'll be able to use the "Lucky 7" special item.

These two characters can only be unlocked during the New York tour, so players should be sure not to forget about these two before the tour's two weeks are up.

The new course and character information were announced earlier today during the first episode of Mario Kart Tour News, a YouTube series published by Nintendo Mobile hosted by a familiar face - Lakitu, Mario Kart's ever-helpful Koopa referee. The video featured a sneak peek of the new course, with live commentary by Lakitu. Though the video only featured a limited preview of the actual course, so far it looks like racers will get the chance to drive through Times Square and Central Park-themed areas.

Towards the end of the video, Lakitu leaves viewers with some crucial details regarding the game's launch. The game releases tomorrow, September 25. However, the game will not become playable until 1:00 AM / 4:00 EDT. Even if players are able to download the game before then, services will not go live until the aforementioned times.

Additionally, fans will need a Nintendo Account in order to play Mario Kart Tour. Players will be given the option to link a pre-existing account or create a new one upon playing the game.

Mario Kart Tour launches tomorrow, September 25th, for iOS and Android devices.
