Get ready to say goodbye to royalty and hello to swimming and splashing! Mario Kart Tour's currently running Peach Tour is scheduled to end this Tuesday, June 30. While it may be sad for some racers to say goodbye to Princess Peach and her royal crew, it looks like they'll have some other fun summer surprises to look forward to.

Yesterday, Nintendo's official Mario Kart Tour Twitter account (@mariokarttourEN) posted a teaser image regarding the mobile racing game's next event, the Marine Tour, which is scheduled to begin June 30 at 11 PM Pacific Standard Time and run for the next two weeks, until July 14. "Can you take the summer heat?" the tweet read.

The tweet was accompanied by an image of a possible course in the upcoming event (which looks like the Koopa Beach 2 track from Super Mario Kart), with two mysterious shaded figures at the front, presumably the next event's featured racers. Judging from the outlines of the characters, it looks like summer-themed variations of Mario and Rosalina will be the new playable characters for the Marine Tour.

Mario appears to dressed to go swimming, with an outline of a snorkel, a ring-shaped floatie, as well as flippers on his silhouette. It's not as clear what Rosalina's summer variation outfit will look like, but some Super Mario fans have tweeted out some pretty solid suggestions and guesses in the replies.

The "Marine Tour" will be the twenty-first tour of Mario Kart Tour. It succeeds the "Peach Tour" event, which began on June 16 and featured different variations of Peach as the spotlight racers.

Mario Kart Tour is a Nintendo spinoff mobile game based on the highly popular Mario Kart franchise. The free-to-play game features a number of microtransactions, including a subscription service for racers. Every two weeks, the game hosts a new event, called "tours", which feature new tracks and chances to obtain new playable racers from the Super Mario franchise.

Mario Kart Tour is currently available as a free-to-download app for both iOS and Android devices. The Peach Tour will end on June 30 to make way for the Marine Tour.
