If you are like most people, you probably don’t know a whole lot about the red tin can, Juggernaut. Unbeknownst to most, Cain Marko has an incredibly large inventory of superpowers making him one of the strongest marvel villains. In his early years his mother passed away at an early age and his father, Kurt, married a woman by the name of Sharon Xavier. Yes, that Xavier. Professor X, the leader of the school for gifted youngsters and Juggernaut, an incredibly powerful villain with insurmountable abilities, step brothers to one another. Both Cain and Charles went to war and fought together during the Korean war, in which Cain ran away from a firefight. Finding himself in the Temple of Cyttorak, he found the Crimson Gem, which unlocked his true powers. Thought to have been buried alive, he felt abandoned and when he finally escaped being buried in under trillions of tons of stone, he sought out revenge on Charles Xavier.

Though in the movies his powers are never truly shown, throughout the comics his powers are vast and overwhelming. From almost ending the God of thunder, Thor, by merely hugging him, to causing Richter 8 earthquakes with only his fists. He is a sight to be reckoned with. Cain Marko is a daunting opponent to anyone, he has even scrapped with the Hulk a few times. So the next time you see that red tin can show up, you might want to think twice about him.

25 His Helmet Makes Him Invulnerable To Physic Attacks

Wordpress.com

Briefly mentioned early, his helmet is not just for looks, its what gives him his ability to survive any mental attacks. Much like Magneto's helmet that protects himself from Professor Xavier, Juggernaut needed one too. After all, Professor X and Cain are stepbrothers, he needed to adapt something to protect himself from Charles. Cain created a way to protect himself from any mental abilities, being that it was his only true weakness.

24 He Cannot Be Tired Or Exhausted

forums.spacebattles.com

A never-ending fight gauntlet could never tire out Cain, he could fight and defeat enemy after enemy from an unlimited supply of whatever was thrown at him and he would be fighting with the same ferocity as when he started. Do you ever wonder why Juggernaut is so beefy? Could be because he can work out without ever beginning to break a sweat.

The only thing he needs to fight is his own boredom.

Such endurance, he could take on the Avengers one by one without fearing his body growing tired, even the Hulk gets tired and has to rest.

23 Rapid Healing

MOROTE56 Deviantart.com

Wolverine isn't the only one who can heal his wounds at a really quick speed. Assuming you somehow breakthrough his shield of invulnerability and reduced him to a mess, you better finish him off, because once he has regenerated everything you have done to him, he will be coming back, with a vengeance. Wolverine once regenerated his entire body from being reduced to a singular cell, Juggernaut also has his rapid healing so it's safe to assume that Juggernaut is only truly finishable if you can destroy every cell that exists.

22 Superhuman Speed

Marvelcomicsfanon.wikia.com

As if he wasn't powerful enough with all his brute strength, now he's got super speed too. He may be huge, but he can run really fast, and when he is moving, he cannot be stopped. With the ability to run 600 miles per hour, you can tell that he didn't skip leg day. Running at nearly the speed of sound he can outrun most of his competition along with being able to beat them in most other categories, he's a sight to be seen, granted you see him before he zips out of your line of sight.

21 Does Not And Can Not Age

Pinterest.com

If you were planning on waiting for Cain to be in an old folks home when you were going to fight him, rethink your strategy. He used to age before he got his powers, but now he is the beacon of youth, kind of. Though companies may not want to include his face on the ageless beauty commercials, he is and forever will be a young-ish guy, and to think, he used to be jealous of Charles Xavier.

20 Levitation

Allexpress.com

That's right, the gem grants him the power of levitation, being able to fly over his opposition while wielding a sentinel in one hand and a skyscraper in the other, leaving ash and debris in his wake, all while not needing to touch the ground means he can no longer be tripped up in his fights. With control over his own footing which has before been a downside to his gameplan is a complete thing of the past now. It may not be the flight of Iron Man or the leaping of the Hulk, it is still a large advantage he has over many of his foes, even if it's not at crippling speeds.

19 True Mental Immunity

LowBrowComics.com

So, now he can finally let his head breathe during his kerfuffles, he can finally take off that red contraption he always needed on his head. It sounds less valuable that it is though, just taking off a helmet, but now he has peripherals, he can finally look around and be more aware of his surroundings.

Not needing his helmet grants him much more mobility

The true power of the gem grants him complete immunity to mental attacks without the need for the skullcap. countless foes eradicated from this ability alone, and to think, Cains father, Kurt, used to like Charles more than him.

18 Survive Without Food

comicvine.com

Marko can live eternally without the need for food after the gem granted him all the power he needed, I guess it also granted him an unlimited supply of sustenance that was automatically ingested for him. If you ever find him at a McDonalds, just know that it is like for most people, not for survivability, and more for the flavor. I mean, who doesn't look cool eating a big mac? Though, I guess in comparison to his 9-foot stature, the burger may look a wee bit small in his burly hands.

17 He Can Obliterate Mountains

Comicvine.com

Starting off strong, quite literally. Juggernaut has an extreme strength where he can smash through nearly any substance, busting through to the other side of mountains and buildings with ease. Juggernaut has shattered a wall of solid steel as if it were nothing more than plywood (Uncanny X-men #12). He can level an entire mountain to dust and earth handedly. Being the villain that he is though, it's unlikely that you will see him terraforming something in a positive way. If only we could harness his extreme strength for flattening out a room for roads and highways, unfortunately, the only flattening he does is of our superheroes, especially our arachnid hero Spider-Man.

16 Use Buildings As A Club

Pinterest.com

Who needs adamantium claws like Wolverine or laser eyes like Cyclops, when you can just grab a skyscraper and clear out your opponents? Juggernaut doesn't, he can use anything around him as a weapon, crushing them under thousands of pounds of steel and glass. That coupled with his extreme adaptability can cause some really epic fights. Some villains need to bring their weapons with them, for the Juggernaut, the world is his weapon.

15 Tracking

Knowyourmeme.com

Tracking is a power that has only ever really been shown very briefly, but he has the power to track his enemies and knows how to lead them, even potentially the fastest of opponents, such as Quicksilver. This adds an extreme adaptability aspect to his skill set, being able to read where someone is going to go, even perhaps before they know where they are going. He could also use this tracking ability to track his mail, and who doesn't want that power?

14 Invulnerability Shield

Deviantart.com

As if he needed it, but he's got it, an invisible shield that grants him invulnerability from many sources of physical damage. Thor once threw his hammer, Mjolnir, at Juggernaut with it not being effective and just dropping to the floor. An immunity to the full power of Cyclops's eye-blast, protection from Storms lightning, and from Wolverines claws, Juggernaut is one of the X-Men's most powerful foes.

Being able to block any physical threat grants him insurmountable power

The only real thing that can get through his shield is psychic abilities and mental powers. Fortunately, he has protection against that as well and that is that red skullcap he always wears. That's right, it's more than just a fashion statement, it's what keeps him safe from Professor X's powers.

13 Watch Out, He's A Hugger

Statueforum.com

DO NOT GIVE HIM A HUG. His brute strength isn't something you want to hug, his big burly body won't be a gentle hug. Juggernaut once nearly hugged Thor to his end. The God of Thunder was almost defeated by a friendly hug! Okay, it wasn't a friendly hug, it was a devastating bearhug that left Thor clinging to life, but still. If he can get his big mitts around something, it is in serious danger, the Hulk has fought with Juggernaut a few times, in one instance he almost defeated the Hulk just by holding his head underwater. The Hulk couldn't escape just one hand holding him down. The Juggernauts true strength is never truly shown in the movies.

12 He Can Dig Through Anything

Pinterest.com

A slight resemblance to a mole, Juggernaut can dig through the earth with ease. Digging through bedrock and absorbing any forces of the earth that try crushing him. Think you have him cornered? Buried him under a pile of rubble? You better be careful, because he will worm his way out from underneath it and find a way out. He may be a large guy, but he can wiggle and punch his way out of most anything. Like a really angry ant, punching his way through the earth

11 Devastating Flex

fanpop.com

Cain Marko was entombed inside a 40-foot coffin of solid steel, and with only just flexing his muscles he tore out of the coffin and escaped his impending doom. I now understand flexing competitions, just waiting for Juggernaut to make his debut in the world of flexing to blow away his competitors. Then again, he is over 9-feet tall and 1900LBS, so I don't think much would stand in his way in competitions.

10 Earthquake-Causing Fists

Breloom-Da-Bassgod - DeviantArt

Juggernaut can create quite the applause, but be careful and make sure you are placed near a door frame beforehand because the mere collision of his hands can cause devastating earthquakes. Clocking in at an 8 magnitude on the Richter scale, which is enough to topple buildings and turn them to rubble, that could easily create a difficult footing for any foe that faces him. So yeah, next time you feel an earthquake, just pretend it's the Marvel character — it'll be more fun that way.

9 True Power In His Punch

Pinterest.com

Okay, after everything else that you know that his fists can do, this doesn't seem too surprising, but I felt the need to include it because it is a lot more powerful than you might think. One punch from him sent Captain Britain flying and creating a mile long dug out from where his body landed.

Juggernauts fist are his most powerful weapons

As well as taking out a foe that was 50-feet tall in a single punch, his terrifying fists can punch through time itself. Juggernaut has also taken out Cyttorak, which means he could take out Galactus with just his fists. All of that is only the beginning of his powers, they grow even stronger once he gets the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak.

8 He Can Manipulate Matter (And Size)

Reddit.com

After gaining complete control of the power that is contained inside the gem, his powers are increased by more than one thousand times. This includes brand new powers including the ability to alter matter to the size he seems fit. Creating a rock to become a one hundred ton boulder that he can throw with ease, it's a real surprise he has ever been defeated before. It doesn't just stop there, Cain Marko can also alter the matter of himself, enlarging himself as if he were taller than the Sentinels. With his strength growing thousands of times stronger, the building he could pick up before is nothing to him anymore, he will be in need of larger buildings, pronto.

7 Energy Absorption

Pinterest.com

Remember that red skullcap he uses? That is not as useful as it once was, the power of the gem grants him the ability to absorb any energy based attack and feed off of it for his own gain. Bishop, Meggan, and Scarlet Witch, all rendered useless against him, and those are just some of the opponents he could face in the Marvel universe with relative ease, the ability to absorb energy has many other uses in many other universes as well!

6 Create Raw Material At Will

VisHuS702 - DeviantArt

If the Juggernaut was ever caught in a nuclear fallout and needed materials to build himself a new sanctuary, you would assume he's using mods. Fortunately though for himself, he doesn't need them, he can create raw materials at will, he is an evil supervillain in the making, if only he had a really cool throne that he could sit upon over the world. Oh, that's right, he can just craft all the materials needed for it, the only downside to this power is that he will still need someone to put his IKEA furniture together.
