The 2019 Nintendo Switch lineup now has another concrete release date for a major title, as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will be released on July 19th.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was announced at the 2018 Game Awards, where it was revealed that it was being developed by Team Ninja and would be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. As the title suggests, the main foes of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order are Thanos and his soldiers, with the story sharing elements with Avengers: Infinity War, except that the X-Men are able to take part.

The original trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order only offered a release date of 2019, but Nintendo has now confirmed on its social media accounts that the game will be released on July 19, 2019. The release date of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order puts it long after the release of Avengers: Endgame, but it will be released shortly after Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The cast of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is so far looking very impressive, especially as the box art has revealed some new faces. The confirmed cast for the game includes Black Panther, Black Widow, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Crystal and Lockjaw from The Inhumans, Daredevil, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Drax, Falcon, Gamora, Groot and Rocket, the Hulk, Iron Fist, Iron Man, Miles Morales, Nick Fury, Nightcrawler, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Storm, Thor, Venom, and Wolverine.

The villains will naturally include Thanos and the members of the Black Order, but the footage that has been released of the game so far has shown the Green Goblin, Ronan the Accuser, Kingpin, Sandman, Ultron, Ultimo, Nebula, and the Sentinels also being involved.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is a huge get for the Nintendo Switch and the buzz surrounding the MCU doesn't seem to be dying down anytime soon, especially with the recent Disney-Fox acquisition allowing the Fantastic Four and the X-Men to join the party. Avengers: Endgame is promising to be the biggest film of the year and the fans might still be furious enough with Thanos to want to beat him up again in the summer.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will be released for the Nintendo Switch on July 19, 2019.
