The next batch of DLC characters for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order have been announced, confirming that an old leak was legitimate.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was launched with a huge roster of characters that come from every corner of the Marvel universe, including members of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the X-Men. The game has already received two free DLC characters in the form of Colossus and Cyclops, but more heroes and villains will be coming to the game in the future as part of the Expansion Pass.

Nintendo has revealed that the first of three DLC packs for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is for the Marvel Knights and will contain Blade the vampire hunter, Moon Knight, Morbius the Living Vampire, and The Punisher. The characters will be available to those who have purchased the Expansion Pass for the game.

The announcement seemingly confirms an old leak that came out around the time of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 first released, as a dataminer uncovered the names of the first four DLC characters. It was also revealed that Black Bolt, Medusa, Valkryie, and Vision would also be coming to the game as DLC characters. However, it's believed that they will be given away for free at some point, rather than being part of character packs.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 has a lot of potential for DLC characters, especially since the rights to almost every Marvel hero is in the hands of Disney, which means that there won't be anymore Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite situations where characters are ignored due to ownership issues. It has already been stated that the Fantastic Four will be appearing as DLC characters in the game, but there are still a few more mystery character slots remaining.

The Marvel Knights will be coming to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order on September 30, 2019.
