The release of Avengers: A-Day might still be almost a year away, but here's everything we know about how to access the game's beta once it drops.

One of the biggest reveals at this year's E3 was the unveiling of the first trailer for Avengers: A-Day. The long-promised project is the combined brainchild of Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics, and of course, Marvel. We also know when we will be able to get our hands on the game, May 15, 2020.

This means we have almost a full year to wait to find out what exactly happens after the catastrophic events of Avengers Day. The trailer is based around what will presumably be the very beginning of the game. At an event celebrating all things Avengers, a rescue attempt in San Francisco goes incredibly wrong. So wrong, in fact, that it results in the deaths of many innocent people, plus Captain America.

Some lucky Marvel gamers won't have to wait until May 15, 2020, to test out A-Day, though. The game is already available for pre-order on the Square Enix store for all platforms apart from Google Stadia. When you pre-order the game, you will have chance to to get your hands on the beta of the title prior to its release, thus making you one of an elite few who will play A-Day before the rest of the world.

While Gamepur has reported that there will indeed be a beta, there is no information yet on when exactly it will drop. Chances are you will still have quite a wait on your hands, especially with rumors circling that developers will be making changes to the characters' designs following criticism. Nevertheless, if you're planning on buying the game no matter what, why not pre-order it and give yourself a chance at some early access?

Personally, we are in the camp of Marvel fans/gamers that isn't bothered by how the game's characters look. Plus, even if we were, we would still be extremely excited for this game. Following the hype and success of Infinity War and Endgame, we can't wait to find out how that world will transfer into the video game universe. Also, we have convinced ourselves that it will tie into Marvel's Spider-Man in some way, so there's that.
