It seems like Marvel's Avengers: A-Day is including a certain master archer after all, as Marvel Games' Vice President and Creative Director announced that Hawkeye will be in the game.

As always, E3 press conferences and presentations have revealed a number of new and upcoming titles, and one of the most anticipated was Marvel's Avengers: A-Day, a game that has been in the works for two and a half years.

The collaboration between Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix and the first in a "multi-year, multi-game partnership" was finally revealed. However, there was just one thing missing, Hawkeye.

After the game's trailer, Shaun Escayg, Creative Director at Crystal Dynamics, and Bill Rosemann, Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games, took to the stage to tell us more. We were given an overview of the story before being told about the game's line-up.

One by one, the characters were introduced. Gamers were told that they could play as Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, or Iron Man. Each was met with a round of applause from the audience. As Iron man's cheers died down, though, a voice could be heard yelling "where's Hawkeye?"

It's not the first time Hawkeye has been snubbed from an Avengers project. The bow-wielding Avenger may have been part of the comic books since Avengers #16, but he was noticeably absent from Avengers: Infinity War.

Fans weren't happy about Hawkeye being left out of the game and took to the internet to complain about it. Luckily, though, Rosemann quickly gave us hope for the future in a tweet that suggested that Hawkeye hasn't been forgotten.

The tweet is pretty vague, but it seems like Hawkeye fans' voices are being heard, as this seems to imply that Clint will be playing a part in the game.

With the game's release date currently set at May 15, 2020, there's plenty of time for the team to add Hawkeye to the line-up. Whether or not he will be available at launch remains to be seen, but the team promised fans that the game will have free updates after its release. These are said to include new heroes and regions, so Clint be coming in one of these updates.

Marvel's Avengers A-Day will launch on May 15 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
