A datamine of the Marvel's Avengers beta has uncovered the names of three characters within the files of the game, who may appear in its story or be playable members of the roster.

Marvel's Avengers uses a similar version of the team from the MCU. The Avengers disband after an incident called A-Day, where a Terrigan Crystal is detonated by terrorists, wiping out most of San Francisco and killing Captain America. The team is reformed years later by Ms. Marvel, as she uncovers the truth behind what happened on A-Day. The confirmed playable roster of the game at launch is Black Widow, Captain America, the Hulk, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, and Thor. Hawkeye will be coming to the game as free post-launch DLC, and Spider-Man will be coming to the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game in the future.

Fans have had a chance to experience Marvel's Avengers during its beta period. People have gone through the files of the game and they have discovered the names of three characters who have yet to be revealed so far. According to 6plus4equals52 on Reddit, the three characters are Kate Bishop, She-Hulk, and War Machine.

It's unclear if these characters will appear in the story as NPCs, whether their names are just titles that the player can unlock, or if their content will appear at all, as they could be cut from the final version of the game. It makes a lot of sense for these characters to be playable, as their powers are similar to existing characters in the game. It's likely that Kate Bishop could be an alternate version of Hawkeye and she could be a part of his unique content when he comes to the game after launch. It would be easy to change Iron Man's assets and turn him into War Machine, with the same being true for the Hulk and She-Hulk.

The developers of Marvel's Avengers have promised that more characters will be coming after launch. If these three datamined characters make it into the game, then we might see similar clone characters for the other members of the roster, like Patriot for Captain America, Miles Morales for Spider-Man, or Reed Richards for Ms. Marvel.
