Marvel's Avengers will suit up with costumes inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe this spring.

MP1st spotted a reply from Crystal Dynamics' Warzone Director Philippe Therien in the Twitch chat of a recent developer stream. Therien reportedly said that the costumes will drop alongside The Red Room DLC. That is scheduled to release sometime this spring, according to Square Enix's 2021 content roadmap for the game.

Every character on the roster has or will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some shape or form, so it makes sense that each of the heroes will receive a new look based on the films or upcoming Disney+ shows.

The King of Wakanda, Black Panther, will also be arriving in the game later this year. He'll seemingly be a completely different fighter to the rest of the squad with his acrobatic movements and up-close claw attacks. Rumors are currently circulating that God of War and Stargate actor Christopher Judge will be voicing him in Marvel's Avengers.

There may also be an in-game mechanic that revolves around his suit taking in energy and blows and reversing their impact back towards his enemies. In any case, he'll certainly be more varied than the latest characters in the game. His arrival in Marvel's Avengers will also usher in a new story chapter as part of the upcoming War For Wakanda expansion.

PlayStation players can also expect our favorite web-slinging hero, Spider-Man, to arrive in the game at some point in the future. He was recently delayed to a later season and possibly even further back into the winter. No gameplay or footage has been shown of him since his August debut, but we're certain Spider-Man's addition will have some kind of positive impact on the game. The franchise is so huge that Spider-Man: Miles Morales was at the #1 best selling spot in the UK a whole four months after release, so if there's anybody who can save the day for Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix, it's definitely Spidey.
