Square Enix has revealed a roadmap for Marvel's Avengers that stretches through to the end of 2021, and yes it does include Spider-Man.

Marvel's Avengers might not have had the launch Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics envisioned for it a year ago, but that hasn't deterred the studios from trying to make the game last long term. Various DLC has been added to the game during its first 12 months, including packs that have brought Kate Bishop, Clint Barton, and Black Panther to the game.

If you were thinking the Avengers teams were considering throwing in the towel sometime soon, then you'd be wrong. A roadmap revealing what will be coming to the game between now and the end of 2021 was shared via the Marvel's Avengers Twitter account this week. You can check out everything planned for the game in the next three months below.

The stand-out segment on the roadmap is the one dedicated to Spider-Man. While it doesn't include an exact date, or even a vague one, the accompanying blog does promise that Spidey will be here by the end of the year. It even hints that the web-slinger might pop up here and there before his official arrival. It's worth noting, if you don't already know, that Spider-Man will only be available through the PS4 and PS5 versions of Avengers.

Elsewhere on the road map is a new Klaw raid. An addition to the game that will give the villain introduced via War for Wakanda a more definitive ending. There's also going to be a nameplate linked to Dinsey Plus's Hawkeye series, possibly similar to the one added to Avengers to celebrate the announcement of Guardians of the Galaxy which is also being published by Square.

There will also be more MCU outfits coming to the game over the course of the next three months. Black Panther was the latest to get his big-screen look added to the game, following in the footsteps of Hawkeye and Ironman. The blog also promises that more heroes and villains will be added to Avengers in 2022, but no word yet on who those new Marvel characters might be.
