Downloading The High Resolution Texture Pack
The texture pack is buried in the DLC options for Marvel's Avengers. The best way to find is by locating Marvel's Avengers in your Steam Library (your games should be listed alphabetically) and right-clicking on the title. This will bring up a menu, simply click the Properties... button at the bottom.
This will open up a settings menu for Marvel's Avengers. Next, click the DLC tab, which is the tab furthest to the right at the top of the menu. You should see 1, 3, or more entries on this list, depending on which version of the game you have and what DLC you have purchased. The entry you're looking for says Marvel's Avengers: High Resolution Texture Pack. There will be a checkbox next to it in the category that says "Install" and the "State" category should says "Not Installed." Simply check the box and Steam will start the download. Crucially, the 6GBs of VRAM are what will make or break the benefits of the texture pack for Avengers. The 3.4/3.2 Ghz of processing power will definitely provide the smoothest gameplay experience, but without the additional VRAM provided by a video card like the NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB or the AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB, you simply won't see the intended benefits of the High Resolution Texture Pack. The recommended specs even include an increased storage requirement to reflect the texture pack.
If you do meet these recommended specs, you'd be crazy not to add the high-res textures. They make a huge difference that you'll be able to notice right away as you smash, blast, and stretch your way through the world of Marvel's Avengers.
