Marvel's Midnight Suns was delayed to the second half of 2022, following news from its developer Firaxis that its development had been pushed on in late 2021. While the turn-based tactical RPG hasn't yet received an official release date, a leak may have revealed when it is due.

Leaked box art images and preorder details point to an October 6 launch date (via PC Gamer). The leaked images have subsequently been taken down following a copyright claim from 2K Games but before they were industry observers were able to scrape together some revealing details.

According to Nils Ahrensmeier on Twitter, three editions will be offered: the standard version; an Enhanced Edition that comes with five premium skins (Captain America/Future Soldier, Captain Marvel/Mar-Vell, Magik/Phoenix 5, Nico Minoru/Sister Grimm, and Wolverine/X-Force); and a Legendary Edition that includes 23 skins and a Season Pass that gains access to four DLC packs, which each include a new playable hero, missions, enemies, and more.

Twelve Marvel heroes are known to be included in Midnight Suns: Doctor Strange, Magik, Iron Man, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, Captain America, Nico Minoru, and Captain Marvel. But the leak of box art images showed two additional heroes in the form of Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch. This means one more is yet to be revealed, while the player will assume the thirteenth hero known as the Hunter.

The Legendary Edition looks like it'll have alternate cover art that features villains instead of the good guys, with Mother of Demons Lilith and the antagonistic editions of Venom, Hulk, and Sabretooth. Hulk and Venom were previously unknown so players might expect to be facing these characters, and other Marvel baddies, as they attempt to prevent the world's doom.

XCOM makers Firaxis are behind Midnight Suns, taking the Marvel franchise into darker territory as the heroes face demons, sorcery, and evil. Aesthetically, it's somewhat like Diablo and is certainly spookier and more gothic than your standard Marvel fare. Gameplay trailers exist online should you be interested, while fans can now pencil in an October 6 launch date while waiting for official confirmation.
